Research interests
   Characterization of the Earth’s atmosphere composition focusing in air quality and pollution and its
   environmental and social implications. Satellite and ground-based remote sensing instrumentation for
   atmospheric measurements, radiative transfer, spectroscopy, retrieval theory, tropospheric and strato-
   spheric chemistry, and chemical transport modelling.

   Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA, USA, 2014–present.
   Physicist - Atomic and Molecular Physics Division
   Principal Investigator of in several NASA proposals including NASA’s MEaSUREs project "Develop-
   ment of Long-Term and Consistent Earth System Data Records of H2CO, CHOCHO, and H2O from
   Multi-Satellite UV/Visible Spectra".
   Development of trace gas measurements from ultraviolet and visible satellite instruments (Global
   Ozone Monitoring Experiment (GOME & GOME2), SCanning Imaging Absorption Spectrometer for
   Atmospheric CHartography (SCIAMACHY), Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI), Ozone Mapping
   and Profiler Suite (OMPS-NPP & OMPS-N20), and Trophospheric Emissions: Monitoring Pollution
   (TEMPO) to examine global air quality, and tropospheric chemistry. Ground-based measurements of
   atmospheric nitrogen dioxide andformaldehyde total columns to validate satellite observations using
   Pandora spectrometers.
