      Annual – a plant that completes its life cycle in one year. Typically these are

      the flowers that will bloom the quickest (and often are the easiest to grow!)
      Perennial – a plant that keeps on flowering year after year. May take a little
      longer to flower for the first time from seed (though some will flower in the
      first year) but will reward you with longevity.

Cut Flowers

                                                 Sisters Jess and Alex founded their flower business,
                                                 Aesme Studio, in 2015. We asked them some
                                                 questions on their approach to flower growing.
    What led you to start working with flowers?                               herbs, shrubs, roses and perennials. With the perennials it was mostly
