The Jungfrau Railway is one of the world’s most impressive feats of railway construction. The cogwheel railway has been travelling from Kleine Scheidegg through a seven-kilometre – long tunnel hewn through the rock of the Eiger and Mönch since 1912. After climbing 1400 metres in height, the Jungfrau Railway reaches its goal, the Jungfraujoch at 3454 metres above sea level, open 365 days a year. Visitors arrive in the UNESCO World Heritage Jungfrau-Aletsch, a world of eternal ice and snow. The Aletsch self-service restaurant on the first floor seats up
to 250 people. It offers an extensive range of cuisine for guests
of all nationalities, as well as sensational views of the Aletsch
Glacier and the surrounding Alpine world.

The large Bollywood Restaurant is open from the beginning
of April to the end of October. Our Indian kitchen team
prepares a lavish buffet with Indian specialities.

Grindelwald – First Aerial Cableway Operating periods

On the sunny side of the Grindelwald valley the six-person cable car travels from the glacier
village of Grindelwald to First at a height of 2168 metres above sea level. The First Flyer (the only
one of its kind in Europe), First Glider, a trip with the mountain cart, trottibike scooter and the
new First Bagjump and First Crystal Peak are all part of the adventurous attractions in this
recreational area. A large number of themed paths and the First Cliff Walk by Tissot round off the
range. The well-known Lake Bachalpsee is the pearl of mountain lakes and a popular hiking
destination.

The Alpine garden and Schynige Platte railway are opening a new panoramic path together.
The setting of the unique «Alpengarten Schynige Platte» is intended to become an experience for
all age-groups with new fields of flowers, exciting information panels and photo points. In
addition to the existing circular routes, the new fully accessible panoramic path supplements
what is on offer with a smooth surface that is easy to walk on for all age-groups. The Bernese
Alps with the famous mountain chain of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are always in view while
walking and the summery mountain flora and Lake Thun and Brienz must also not be forgotten –
a lot of Switzerland in a short space of time.

Typical Swiss folklore performances, while the Alps glow in the background. Glance at the panora-
mic mountain range of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, which seem so close that you will feel as if
you could touch them, and experience the Live Folklore Show on Hausberg in Interlaken. From May
to October Harder Kulm, with its Swiss charm, becomes a meeting place for everyone, who would
like to experience Swiss tradition in a unique setting. The folklore performances are free of charge.

The newly renovated Kleine Scheidegg mountain restaurant lies at the foot of the north face
of the Eiger. There is space for up to 240 guests in our Eiger-, Mönch- and Jungfrau Stube.
We have a simple meeting room for events in our Champions-Lounge on the 1st floor. We can
offer outdoor drinks for up to 300 people in our outdoor «Tipi» bar.
