YATRA ITINERARY (10N 11D from Lucknow )
Day 1: Lucknow Arrival Arrive at Lucknow & reach Hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at a Deluxe
Hotel. (Hotel Check-in after 1:00 pm, dinner included) (Meal : D, Stay : Twin sharing basis)
Day 2: Lucknow to Neaplgunj After breakfast we will drive around 4-5 hrs in AC coach
for Nepalgunj. Yatra briefing in evening. Overnight stay at Nepalgunj in Hotel Siddhartha /
Cygnet or similar. (Meal : B, L, D, Stay : Twin sharing basis)
Day 3: Nepalgunj – Simikot- Hilsa – Purang Early morning drive to Airport and catch flight for
Simikot, rest for few hour at Simikot and then fly to Hilsa by helicopter, wait for other group
travellers and then drive to Purang. Overnight stay at Hotel. It's 40-50 minutes flight from
Nepalganj to Simikot & then 10-20 minutes helicopter flight from Simikot to Hilsa. (Meal : B,
L, D ; Purang Stay : Triple sharing in Hotel)
In some cases, we stay at Simikot in guest house for 3rd night & then move for Purang on 4th day.
This helps in better step wise acclimatization & decision depends on weather & rush there. (If

Day 4: Acclimatization at Purang Entire day free for acclimatization and short trek may be
taken in preparation for Mount Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at Hotel . (Meal : B, L, D ;

Purang is a small & very clean town with lots of shops at both sides of road for shopping necessary
items for further Yatra. You can buy trekking sticks, water gallon for keeping Holy Mansarovar
Water, some packed juices & other things. Some bargaining happens here at almost all shops.
It's pleasant experience to roam around in Purang. (Meal : B, L, D ; Purang Stay : Triple sharing
in Hotel)

2 Day 5: Purang to Mansarovar Lake Drive for roughly 2 hours in AC Volvo category bus to Mansarovar Lake and complete the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake of approx. 105 KMs, take holy bath and perform Puja at divine Lake Mansarovar. While coming to Mansarovar Lake you will see first glimpse of Mount Kailash. It's overwhelming experience to see Divine Mount Kailash, just next to Holy Lake Mansarovar while taking bath. Overnight stay at Guest House near Lake Mansarovar. If weather permits, you can visit Lake Mansarovar at night or early morning (Brahm Muhurt) to witness the divinity of the place. (Meal : B, L, D ; Multiple sharing stay in Guest House / Dormitory) Day 6: Mansarovar to Darchen After short drive from Lake Mansarovar you will reach to Darchen which is the base for Kailash Parikrama. Evening is free for rest & preparation for Kailash Parikrima. (Meal : B, L, D ; Stay : Triple sharing in Hotel) Day 7: First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash Early in morning after breakfast we will drive to Yamdwar and then trek to Dirapuk ( 10 KMS first day Parikrama). We get blessed with darshan of North Face of Mount Kailash during first day of Parikrama which is considered to be most auspicious. Those who are not doing Parikrama will travel from Yamdwar to Darchen for approx. 30 minutes and stay there in Guest House for 2 nights. You can see & pray to Mount Kailash from Darchen. (Meal : B, L, D ; Stay : Multiple sharing in Guest House / Dormitory ) **Parikrama is optional. There are a few who would be doing Parikrama by walk, few by horse & few old age people may not do the Parikrama. Those who are not doing Parikrama will return from Yamdwar to Guest House/Hotel at Darchen/Purang. We will arrange meals & accommodation there. Holy Mount Kailash is easily visible from Darchen & one can do puja from there as well. People staying at Darchen / Purang will join other group members in 1st half of the day, once they complete 3rd day of Parikrama. Day 8: Second Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash Early morning start trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and then Zuthulpuk. Total trek is of 22 KMs on second day of Parikrama. This is the most difficult part of the journey throughout the Yatra since you have to trek up to 18,600 ft above sea level. From Dolma La Pass descend to Gauri Kund and trek further, along with the river to Zuthulpuk. Overnight stay – Guest House / Dormitory . (Meal : B, L, D ; Stay : Multiple Sharing) First 6-7 KMs (till Dolma La Pass at 5600 m) of 2nd day has very steep climb & most difficult part of Yatra. Yatris are advised to take comfortable time to cover it & take rest wherever you feel problem. After 1st 6-7 KM, remaining 16 KMs are comparatively plain / downwards & comfortable. Important: Parikrama (Day 2). You will pass through Shivasthal (Sacred place for Tibetans & it is believed that whatever you offer here, you'll get it in Heaven) & Gauri Kund. 3 Day 9: Drive to Purang Third day Parikrama is of 8 KMs & takes around 3 hours to complete. Generally it gets completed by 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. After this short trek we’ll drive to Darchen and continue to drive to Purang. Overnight stay at Hotel. (Meal : B, L, D ; Stay : Triple sharing) Day 10 : Hilsa – Neaplgunj – Lucknow Drive to Hilsa by AC luxury vehicle, fly back to Simikot by Helicopter then to Nepalgunj by flight & then drive to Lucknow. Overnight stay at deluxe Hotel. (Meal : B, L, D ; Stay : Twin sharing) Day 11: Lucknow After b/f you are free to proceed for your home destination with blessings of Lord Shiva !! YATRA ITINERARY (Overland Kailash Yatra)
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1300 m) Arrive at Kathmandu airport, our representative will pick you
up from there and transfer to Hotel. Trip briefing in evening at 7:00 pm. Dinner & overnight stay in a 3 Star
Hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing After breakfast, Kathmandu sightseeing which covers Pashupatinath
Temple, Jal Narayan Vishnu etc. Preparation & packing for Yatra in evening. Overnight stay in 3 Star Hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1950 m) After breakfast we will drive by private non AC coach to
Syabrubesi (1950m / 155 km / 6-7 hrs). Overnight stay at Guest House / Lodge.
Day 04: Drive to Kyirong (3700 m) Drive to Rasuwagadhi (1800m / 8-10 km / 45 min) from Syabrubesi.
Immigration & custom formalities will happen here in Nepal & Tibet side at Rasuwagadhi. After immigration
continue further drive to Kyirong (3700m) 2 hrs / 35 km. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 05: Acclimatization at Kyiorang (3700 m) Full day is free for rest & acclimatization. Overnight stay
in Hotel.
Day 06: Drive to Dongba / Saga (4250 m) After breakfast, drive (268 KMs / 7-8 hrs.) to Dongba / Saga.
En-route, we will be driving over Holy River Brahmputra. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 07: Dongba / Saga to Mansarovar Lake (4500 m) Early morning drive for Mansarovar Lake (422
KMs, 6 - 7hrs) (4500m) crossing beautiful places & complete the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake by vehicle.
Overnight stay at guest house near the shore of the Holy Lake. Today you get first view of Holy Shrine
Kailash. Overnight stay at Guest House.
Day 08: Lake Mansarovar to Darchen Witness the divinity of Mansarovar lake in early morning, take

Trip To Temples’ staff will provide you private bathing tent there. After completing holy bath & having lunch there, we will drive to Darchen (60 KMs / 1-2hrs). Overnight stay in Hotel. Day 9: First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash – Dirapuk (4800 m) After short drive from Darchen you will reach Yamdwar and trek to Dirapuk ( 10 KMS first day Parikrama). You get blessed with darshan of North Face of Mount Kailash during first day of Parikrama which is considered to be most auspicious. From Dolma La Pass descend to Gauri Kund and further trek along with the river to Zuthulpuk. Overnight stay – Lodge / Guest House. First 6-7 KMs (till Dolma La Pass at 5600 m) of 2nd day has very steep climb & is the most difficult part of Yatra. Yatris are advised to take comfortable time to cover it & take rest wherever they feel problem. After 1st 6-7 KMs, remaining 16 KMs are comparatively plain / downwards & comfortable. Important: Parikrama (Day 2). You will pass through Shivasthal (Sacred place for Tibetans & it is believed that whatever you offer here, you will get it in Heaven) & Gauri Kund. After Dolma La Pass it's long pleasant trek beside river. You will see East face of Mount Kailash here. Day 11: Drive to Dongba Third day Parikrama is of approx. 8 KMs & takes around 2-3 Hrs to complete. Generally, we complete it by 9:00-10:00 am. After completing Parikrama we drive to Darchen and merge with other members and then drive to Paryang /Dongba. Overnight stay in Hotel. Day 12: Dongba to Gyirong Start driving to Gyirong –270 km / 6–7 hrs. Overnight stay at Hotel Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu Drive back to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi border after completing immigration formalities. Total driving is around 8-10 hr / 190 km. We took the services of 'Trip To Temples' for our pilgrimage to Kailash
Mansarovar from 23.05.18 to 05.06.18. We are highly satisfied with
the facilities and the arrangements made by the Travel group. The
guide and all other associated people of the group were highly
cooperative and well-informed. Daily briefing was done to us and
mandatory daily medical checks were also done satisfactorily.
Everything from food to the medical facilities extended were par
excellent, with a special mention of the food which was pure Jain food
and tasted just like home food. The programme was very well
designed in all aspects. We did not face any problem in stay
arrangements except at Mansarover where we faced some problem
as the bus had got stuck on the way and reached late. Mr. Manish of
'Trip To Temple' guided us really well and was very prompt in
answering all our queries for the preparations prior to the journey.
The videography of our entire trip done exclusively for our group was
really a wonderful experience and the video was also telecast on
