Ohio is now on the cutting edge of advanced manufacturing techniques.
And, anchored by world-class healthcare institutions like the Cleveland Clinic,
University Hospitals and Summa Health Systems, Northeast Ohio has developed
into a leader in biomedical innovations as well.
In a 2017 Forbes article, “Cleveland’s Surprising Turnaround And What It
Means For New Businesses,” Jeff Epstein, Director of the Cleveland Health-
Tech Corridor, is quoted saying, “Cleveland’s a prime location for innovative
health-tech and high-tech companies. The heart of Cleveland is a leading
biomedical, health-care and technology region. It offers easy access to
clinicians, researchers and state-of-the-art lab infrastructure inside world-
class institutions. The cost of living is 30%-60% lower than that of Boston,
Silicon Valley, and NYC."
The Northeast Ohio region is also progressively emerging as a
