Welcome to the third annual Britfest which this year will be staged on the in-field of The
Timonium Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 to coincide with the month of Queen
Elizabeth's 93rd birthday. BritFest 2019 will celebrate the
Queen's birthday in style. As the longest reigning
monarch in history, this is an opportunity for the people of
the Mid-Atlantic area to once again share their affection for
Queen Elizabeth II and to enjoy all that is British!
Britfest 2019 is a full day of events on Saturday,
including rugby, soccer, rugby and cricket matches with great
British beers, food and crafts from Britain, British rock inspired
music, and various British sports and "activities" including
croquet, darts and activities for the kids.

TICKETS
An entry fee of $18.00 will be charged to all
adults. (Only $10.00 until end of March 2019).
ID will need to be provided in order to get a
bracelet that will allow you to purchase alcohol.
Children under 16 are free. No dogs, (unless
service dogs). No outside food or alcohol.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT BRITFEST 2019

BritFest 2019 will feature many new activities from previous years…..

THE QUEENS HEAD
This year, we will once again be offering a selection of British and British
inspired beers for your tasting. Under one tent, The Queens Head will be set up
to allow you to buy a sampling package or simply dive into your favorite beer.

 EMMA’S GREAT BRITISH BAKE TENT
 Emma, of Emma’s Tea Spot fame in hamilton, will be setting up a tent where you
 can purchase the wonderful and tasty scones and cakes of Britain. Inspired by The
 Great British Bake Off – Emma will be selling your favorite English cakes and
 baked goods.

SWEETS, CHOCOLATES, CRISPS AND SO MUCH MORE!

Also, in the tent will be The Queens Grocer where Nicola’s team will be selling your
favorite English chocolate and savories and Marmite. Are you brave
enough to try Marmite – come and try it in the tent!

 CLASSIC BRITISH CARS & BIKES
 Once again BritFest is inviting Classic British cars to attend and bring their cars to
 display. Also, this year, it is in intended to feature some classic Bikes,

 FOR THE KIDS (and adults too!)
Face Painting, Punch and Judy, climb on a tank and compete
in classically British games like egg and spoon, sack and
three-legged races.

 DARTS
 Did you know the English invented darts?! As part of
 BritFest this year, we will be featuring darts in the Queen’s Head.

Unique items for sale from England, Scotland, Ireland
and Wales!

BRITISH FOOD & BEER!
It’s a myth that British food is bad~! Come and
taste the best fish and chips on the East Coast with
The London Chippy and other food trucks
offering a balance and a blend of unique British
foods as well as something for everyone.

CAR BOOT SALE
A very traditional English pastime! Pack your
car with your junk and sell it to our event
attendees. Come and browse! – “one man’s
junk is another man’s treasure”.

ENGLISH TRIVIA
An English Trivia Competition will be held with prizes for
winners. At 3.00 p.m. before the last musical act, the MC will be
asking English Trivia – and attendees can enter as teams or
individuals.

 CRICKET MATCH
 Have you ever wanted to try and understand cricket? – Well grab a Pimms
 or a beer – there will be plenty of English people to explain it to you as you
 watch The Baltimore Cricket and Social Club take on another local cricket
 team.

ENGLISH CHARACTERS
This year, BritFest will assemble
some of the most beloved elements of
England. From Dr Who to Harry
Potter Britfest 2019 will offer items
for sale that will bring back
memories of England.

RUGBY MATCH

 Come and witness one of
 England’s toughest sports as we
 stage the inaugural SteamRoller
 rugby invitational tournament
 during the afternoon.

SOCCER PUB CHALLENGE
 Four of Baltimore’s finest pubs will represent Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and
 Manchester United and play in the 2019 Soccer Pub Challenge; (in England we call it
 football! ). Root for your favorite pub or your favorite team as they play in
 premiership colors in a round robin tournament at BritFest on the in-field.

ARTS & CRAFTS/ SERVICES/ PRODUCT VENDORS: (NON -FOOD)
BritFest 2019 will be restricting participation to
only 80 vendors with position allocated on a "first
come first serve" basis. Each vendor MUST offer/
showcase / highlight / decorate with something
BRITISH, (Scottish, Welsh, Irish, or English). Items
for sale do not have to be British but getting into the
spirit of things will make selling more effective.

Becoming a vendor at Britfest 2019 is simple. Go
to www.britfestmd.com fill in the form and hit
submit. The cost of vendor space is ($150) You
will be allocated a 10 x 10 ft. space that will be
clearly marked and numbered for you to set up
on Saturday morning from 7.00 a.m. - 10.30
a.m. You will be responsible for all physical
requirements, tent, chairs, tables, etc. No power
will be available. Spaces will be allocated on a
first come first served basis.

FOOD VENDORS
BritFest 2019 is seeking a limited number of food vendors / food
trucks ($200), to offer traditional British Food (Bangers and Mash, Fish and
Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Scotch Eggs, Pork Pies, Chelsea Buns, Bacon
Butty's, Steak & Kidney Pie, Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding,
Toad in the hole, Sticky Toffee Pudding, etc.). Interested parties
should go to www.britfestmd.com and select the food vendor
application, submit desired menu items and sale prices. Food
vendors must meet Baltimore County Food regulations and be in
possession of a Baltimore County Food Vendor permit at least two
weeks prior to the event, and carry insurance.

MUSIC AT BRITFEST 2018
The band line-up has not yet been confirmed for 2019,
but you can bet on one thing - there will be songs and
performances by bands who will cover The Stones, The
Beatles, Cold Play, Elton John, and many other great
English Bands. Drink a pint and sing-a-long to all your
favorite English songs!
