Whether you are seeking an intimate reception or a grander affair,
March Golf Club is the perfect venue.
If you’re looking for a tranquil and versatile venue,
the grounds and clubhouse at March Golf Club is
the ideal setting for your wedding reception. The
Aveling Lounge is an elegant room which,
depending on your seating plan, can accommodate
up to 80 for a seated formal meal or up to 120 for
an informal gathering. The venue is fully licensed
for live entertainment and comes with a bar, dance
floor and ample free parking. Located off the A141
bypass and is not overlooked, offering complete
privacy.
The Aveling lounge is surrounded by patio
doors which overlook a picturesque golf course.
Hire of the clubhouse includes use of the patio
area overlooking a well manicured golf course.
For large and elaborate celebrations of more
than 100 guests, a marquee on the patio can
accommodate an additional 60 people.
Whether large or small your wedding will be the only
wedding that day so that we can give the Bride and Groom
our individual attention and an exceptionally personal
experience. We pride ourselves on a high standard of
service and attention to detail.

We offer you the flexibility of being able to use whichever
caterers, florists, entertainment etc. you wish with less of the usual
venue restrictions. If you choose to use our caterers they have an
excellent reputation for providing a quality service with excellent
food, offering real value for money. We are happy to tailor-make
your package to suit your budget. We can cater for all dietary
requirements and food intolerances.
Our Chef’s, Geoff and Christine are happy to discuss meal options
with you.
Drinks
All drinks must be purchased through the Golf Club,
we do not offer a corkage service. We can tailor make a
package to suit you from receptions drinks, to toasts and wine
on the tables.

What is included in the venue hire?
• Use of the Aveling Lounge for up to 80 seated guests or up to 120 for an informal
gathering.
• Use of the outdoor patio area – rattan chairs, tables, benches and parasols.
• A tried and tested list of recommended suppliers.
• An experienced events co-ordinator to help run your day and with ongoing support
throughout the planning of your special day.
• On site car park for 50 cars.
• Licensed bar and bar staff until 11.45pm.
• All tables and chairs.
• Ivory or white table linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Booking and Payments
Should you wish to go ahead with the booking, we
ask for a £250 non refundable deposit and return
of the attached agreement form. The balance will
be payable 14 days before your wedding.

Clubhouse Hire Terms and Conditions
CLUBHOUSE HIRE AGREEMENT
Functions on a bank holiday are permitted at an additional charge of £30 for any function.
Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 14 days from the date of booking.
A £250 deposit must be paid in full within 14 days of confirming the booking and is non-refundable.
The booking is confirmed upon receipt of this deposit and return of these signed Terms and
Conditions.
The balance is due 14 days before your wedding.
The full hire fee must be paid to confirm the booking if made less than 30 days prior to the event.
Payment can be made in cash to the Secretary, by Cheque (payable to March Golf Club Ltd), by
debit or credit card or by BACS (contact the Secretary for bank details).
CANCELLATION
We reserve the right to cancel your booking without liability to you and without any
obligation to refund your deposit if:
(a) you do not pay us the balance of your wedding package price by the date due for such
payment; or
(b) we have reasonable grounds to believe that you may not pay us the balance of your
wedding package price by the due date and we have requested you to explain the
position and you have not done so satisfactorily; or
(c) we discover, before you have paid the balance of your wedding package price, that you
have deliberately concealed information, or deliberately given us incorrect information,
about your intended wedding in circumstances where (if you had not done so) it would
have been reasonably foreseeable that we would not have accepted your booking; or
(d) we have reasonable grounds to believe that your behaviour or that of your guests at the
wedding is likely to result in damage to the venue or to our property and/or injury to
people.
DAMAGES
The cost of any damage or additional cleaning required, arising from the function, will be passed in
full to the person responsible for the function.
We reserve the right to stop any activity which we reasonably believe is likely to cause

damage to the interior or exterior of the venue or to risk the safety of people at the venue,
and we will not tolerate any abusive behavior by guests to any other guests or member of
staff. We reserve the right to remove any persons acting inappropriately from the event.
For Health and Safety reasons, guests must not venture onto the Golf Course and must only
use demarcated areas of the surrounding grounds. The Club will not be held responsible for
any accident on the golf course.
SALE AND SUPPLY OF ALCOHOL
The Club has an Age Verification Policy in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol. Individuals who
appear to the Steward or other bar staff employed by the Club to be under 18 years of age must
produce on request, before being served alcohol, identification being their photograph, date of birth
and a holographic mark.
Persons who, in the opinion of the bar staff, appear drunk or are disruptive will not be served and
may be asked to leave the Club’s premises.
All persons using the Clubhouse for a function will purchase all drinks from the bar.
We do not offer a corkage facility under any circumstance.
Special requests for drinks at a function e.g. Champagne can be ordered through the Secretary. A
minimum of 14 days notice is required. Payment for special orders of drinks is required before the
function.
FOOD
The club’s caterers are available to provide food at the expense of the individual ordering. Special
dietary needs can be accommodated. Alternatively, individuals can cater for themselves by prior
agreement with the Secretary. Non-March Golf club members will be charged a service fee of £3 -
£5 per head (depending on menu choice) for doing their own catering and must provide their own
tablecloths, plates and cutlery.
Full use of the kitchen and its equipment is not permitted by non-members.
DISCO’S
It is the responsibility of the person booking the Clubhouse to ensure that all electrical equipment
brought into the Club for a private function has been PAT tested.
