There are several species of Bearded Dragon in
Australia. All have a flat body, a broad head and stout

Dragons are coloured grey, orange, light brown, brown
or black.
Bearded Dragons are found across Australia, typically
in arid or semi-arid environments. The Eastern
Bearded Dragon is widespread, found in New South
Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.
Bearded Dragons live in woodlands, coastal dunes,
heathland, tropical savannahs and deserts. They’re

Majestic in size and beauty, the Araucaria is truly a
magnificent timber species. These native Australian
trees have fine, evenly textured, light yellow timber.
Araucaria are a group of tree species native to the
forested regions of Australia and can grow up to 60m
tall and 2m across the base.
The Araucaria genus can be traced back to the age of
the dinosaurs. Fossil evidence indicates that the genus
reached its maximum diversity between 200 to 65
million years ago during the Jurassic and Cretaceous
periods.
As one of the few odourless and food grade safe
woods in the world, it is extremely sought after for
the production of baby cots, butter boxes and timber
cutlery.

The cypress family, a group of conifers with scale
like leaves, is believed to have originated more than
200 million years ago, when Pangaea was intact. Red
Cypress is native to Australia.
Cypress bedding is a light weight bedding, and due to
the way it loosely packs within the terrarium it is ideal
for reptiles that enjoy burrowing. Cypress absorbs
large amounts of moisture and readily allows for
evaporation, translating to higher humidity within the
enclosure whilst avoiding damp bedding.
