4EMERGENCY CLOSINGS AND DISMISSALS
EMERGENCY CLOSINGS AND DISMISSALS
School closings and early dismissals due to inclement
weather or emergencies will be announced to
parents using the email and phone blast systems. Log
on to the District’s website (www.byramhills.org)
for information about school closings. The District’s
emergency hotline number is 273-7250.
SNOW DAYS
Four snow days have been built into the 2021-2022
calendar. If no days are used, schools will be closed
May 26*, May 27*, and May 31*. If one day is used,
school will be closed May 27* and May 31*. If two
days are used, school will only be closed May 27*. If
three or four days are used, the calendar stands as
printed.
In the event that school must be closed due to
emergency conditions for more than the four
allocated days, and in the event that remote school
days cannot occur, the necessary number of days
will be made up using April 11** as the first make-up
day; April 12** as the second make-up day and
April 13** as the third make-up day.
As new NYS testing requirements are announced,
some calendar adjustments may be necessary.
