Day Ticket Information
Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain
Day Ticket is £36, this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of two shows in
the year at £36 per show. It covers owner and rider membership, together with horse
registration for that show. If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS in order for the
qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse
registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days.

British Show Horse Association
Non members may purchase up to a maximum of two day tickets per exhibitor, per
horse, per person, per season. A Day Ticket will allow entry into Novice, Amateur, Young
Rider, Home Produced, Working, In Hand and Open affiliated classes only, but will not
allow entry into RIHS or HOYS qualifying classes. Horse registered on a Day Ticket do not
require a JMB height certificate. Competitors can apply for a Day Ticket online or by
downloading an application form from www.britishshowhorse.org.

Irish Draught Special Incentive Cards
To be awarded by Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to the highest placed pure or part
bred Irish Draught exhibit in classes 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 707, 710, 711, 712, 713,
714, 715, 716, 717, 718, 719, 720, 721, 722, 723, 755 and 756. All exhibits must be
registered or identified with the IDHS(GB) on either their Pure Bred or Sport Horse
Register. Registration number should be stated on the entry form.

Irish Draught Society (GB) Challenge Qualifier
The highest placed horse, not already qualified, from classes 701, 702, 703, 704, 739,
740, 755, 756, 757 and 758 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish
Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Registers, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish
Draught breeding, will qualify for the Final of the IDHS(GB) £2,000 Challenge. Horses
need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify but must be
on the IDHS(GB) registers by the time of the Championship which is held at the IDHS(GB)
Annual Breed Show on 22nd and 23rd August 2020 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham,
Lincolnshire NG32 2EF. A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type
or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card.
Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the
IDHS(GB) that they have qualified for the Final. Following submission of the online form,
a qualifier’s pack will be sent directly to the qualifier. In the Final, the Champion will be
awarded £1,000 prize money and a trophy. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500
and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed pure
bred Irish Draught will be awarded a trophy and £100 and the highest placed Sports
Horse will receive a trophy and £50.

Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain £100 Premium
Will be awarded at the Judge’s discretion to any mare gaining a prize in classes 712, 714
and 716. It will take the form of a Service Voucher to be used towards the covering of
the mare by any SHB(GB) Graded or Life Approved Stallion in 2021/2022. The owner
must be, or become, a fully paid up member. Only one award per year can be accepted.
Premiums will only be awarded if there are a minimum of three mares forward per class.

The Langaller Farm Broodmare Premium Award
Rosette and £75 voucher will be awarded to the highest placed Broodmare in classes
712, 714, 716, 725, 742 and 747. Redeemable against any stud fee for a stallion standing
at Langaller Farm during the current or following stud season. Only one award per mare
per season. Where the winning mare has already won a voucher in the current year, the
award goes to the next highest placed eligible mare.

BSPS Classic Services Group Challenge
This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Services Group Challenge. Animals will
qualify by competing in an appropriate open class - leading rein, first ridden, leading rein
of hunter type, open show pony, show hunter pony, cradle and nursery stakes, working
hunter pony, intermediates, heritage leading rein, heritage first ridden, heritage ridden
and heritage working hunter pony.

Ponies must not have qualified for 2020 Horse of the Year Show. If a pony qualifies for
the Horse of the Year Show it will forfeit its qualification into the Challenge.

All ponies must be registered with the BSPS and registration numbers stated on the
entry forms to compete is classes with RIHS and Blue Riband Qualification.

Dartmoor Pony Society Star Show. Animals entered in these classes must be pedigree ponies
registered in the Dartmoor Pony Society Stud Book and entries must be made in the registered
owners name.

These classes are qualifiers for the NPS/HorseQuest M&M In Hand Summer Championship. Owners
do not have to be NPS members to enter these classes but only ponies owned by NPS Qualifying or
Life Members can qualify for the final. The highest placed pony in each class owned by an NPS
member will qualify for the final. If the first has already qualified then the second may qualify (as
long as they are NPS members), if the first and second have qualified then the third may qualify (as
long as they are NPS members). Qualification may go no lower than third place. To receive qualification
owner’s membership cards must be shown in the ring.

The right is reserved that if insufficient entries are forward, to amalgamate classes, or to divide
classes if numbers dictate.

Animals must be registered in the Welsh Stud Book. These classes are run under the rules and
jurisdiction of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society.

These classes are qualifiers for the NPS/HorseQuset M&M In Hand Summer Championship. Owners
do not have to be NPS members to enter these classes but only ponies owned by NPS Qualifying or
Life Members can qualify for the final. The highest placed pony in each class owned by an NPS
member will qualify for the final. If the first has already qualified then the second may qualify (as
long as they are NPS members), if the first and second have qualified then the third may qualify (as
long as they are NPS members). Qualification may go no lower than third place. To receive qualification
owner’s membership cards must be shown in the ring.

            The winning animal if eligible will qualify for the Horse of the Year Show Supreme In Hand
            Championship Qualifying Competition on Saturday 23rd May 2020.

THE WEST OF ENGLAND
          HEAVY HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP 2020
              SUNDAY 27th SEPTEMBER
     This Show is a qualifying show for the West of England Heavy Horse
 Championship. This Championship is sponsored by Wadworth & Co Brewers,
    Devizes, Wiltshire and will be held alongside the Wessex Heavy Horse
                            Society’s Annual Show.

Rules of Qualification
1. Qualifiers must be from recognised heavy horse breeds, of any age, stallions,
   colts, geldings, fillies or mares.
2. (a) The in hand qualifier must be the Show Champion of the day. If already
   qualified at a previous qualifier show then, if necessary, the qualifier position
   may move down the line to fourth position. If the top four have already
   qualified, then no qualifier will be nominated.
   (b) The show harness qualifier must be the highest placed animal on the day,
   down to fourth position if necessary. A set of show harness can only be used
   upon one qualifying horse.
3. Should a qualifying horse refuse a first qualification this will exclude that
   horse from qualifying in the same championship at any further qualifying
   shows that year.
4. If a qualifier subsequently is unable to attend the championships on the
   above date, then the Show Secretary must be notified by the first week in
   September. The position can then be passed to the next eligible horse.
5. Each horse that qualifies will receive a qualifier rosette.
                    AWARDS AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP 2020
               Each Champion will receive £250, sash & rosette.
           Each Reserve Champion will receive £150, sash & rosette.
    The remaining finalists (attending the Championship) will receive £25 &
                                     rosette.

Horses qualifying for the Championship and others from the same stables may enter and
take part in the Wessex Heavy Horse Society Annual Show on the same day and part of
the event. Show Classes include: Mare 3 years old and over, Gelding 3 years old and over,
Yearling, 2 year old, colt and filly foals, Harness, Ladies Cart, Agricultural and Trade
Turnout. Overnight and show day stabling available.

H108       Best Devon Shire Horse owned by a bona fide resident of the county of Devon, the Tony
           Flower Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented in memory of Tony Flower (140).

H109       Best Shire Horse Mare or Filly to receive the Shire Horse Society Silver Spoon and
           rosette offered subject to the SHS special conditions of offer. Only 2020 members of the
           Shire Horse Society are eligible for this award.

H110       West of England Qualifier. This Show is a qualifying show for the West of England Heavy
           Horse Championships, kindly sponsored by Wadworth & Co, Brewers, Devizes, Wiltshire.
           The Show Champion to qualify, if they have qualified already then the qualification can

the horses. All Heavy Horse exhibitor lorries will be parked close to the Heavy Horse Stabling.

If sufficient entries are forward the Agricultural Turnout class will be divided into vehicles and
implements at the Judge’s discretion.

825         Heavy Horse Agricultural Turnout, single or pair. In harness with vehicle or implement.
            Exhibits to be from a recognised draft or Heavy Horse breed.

826         Heavy Horse Trade Turnout, pairs. Exhibits to be from a recognised draft or Heavy Horse
            breed.
