TETHER INFUSION SYSTEMS
Small Animals / Single channel
Our infusion sets allow the animal freedom of movement during long-term infusion. The complete
assembly may be removed to facilitate the conduct of in-life investigations.
Completely integrated rodent infusion systems providing maximum procedural flexibility and
precision. Infusion sets may be purchased complete or as individual components and are also
available pre-sterilised.
All rat/mouse equipment is standardly available in a range of sizes. However should your size not
be mentioned above, you may always call us for information on custom made products.
Rodent swivel retainer; Constructed in stainless steel and plastic; used to mount the
swivel to the outside of the cage; preventing the rodent form accidentally gnawing
the swivel and the top of the catheter; allows for easy removal of swivel and entire
assembly; available for all types of cages design.
Rodent Swivel ; Available in both high-impact plastic and stainless steel; the needle
gauge of the swivel is selected according to the inside diameter of the catheter.
Rodent Swivel - tether connector; Joins the rotating end of the swivel to the top of
the tether; high impact plastic construction eliminates sharp edges, thus reducing
risk of damage to the catheter; facilitates 360º rotation of the system.
Rodent Tether; Manufactured of stainless steel for durability; the tether end is
molded onto the unit for use with the rodent jacket. A plain tether is designed for use
with the tail cuff and attaches directly to the tail cuff. Select appropriate tether length
according to the dimensions of the animal’s cage.
Rodent jackets; Manufactured of Lycra®/spandex; suitable for a wide range of
contineous intraveneous infusion applications; closes by means of velcrow fasten-
ers, supplemented by hooks for additional security and fit; a wide selection of sizes,
designs and materials are available for use in a range of procedures and protocols.
Rodent tail cuff; Used as an alternative to the rodent jacket; constructed of
stainless steel; compatible with all other items in the rodent infusion set.

Primate Jackets;
We offer the most comprehensive range of primate jackets on the
market.
Features:
* available in seven sizes for Rhesus, and five sizes for Cynomolgus,
juvenile baboons and species such as squirrel and owl monkeys;
* jackets can be custom-designed for other species;
* light padding at the neck opening and waist closed by velcrow
ensures comfortable fit;

JACKETS and VESTS
Dermal inserts (for dermal / topical applications);
For the conduct of studies where test articles are dermally applied, we supply an insert for rodent
jackets. The insert provides a non-occlusive covering for the application site, reducing the possi-
bility of oral ingestion, while allowing in-life investigations to be carried out with ease. Jackets are
also available for the conduct of dermal studies in other animals species. Different options are
available depending on your specific requirements.
COLLARS
The collars are designed and manufactured to reduce or eliminate many of the factors which can
compromise investigations. In protecting sensitive equipment and reducing discomfort and stress
levels for the subjects, this comprehensive range helps to protect the integrity of a wide variety of
procedures on all laboratory animal species. A large range of standard sizes are available with
other sizes, for special needs, made to order.
ELISABETHAN COLLAR
Prevent animals from self grooming, and protect surgical or treatment
sites. All collars are manufactured from a low density polyethylene
and close with ample Velcro fasteners, providing adjustable and
secure fit for individual animals. Neck openings are bound with cotton
jersey for comfort.
CERVICAL COLLAR
Offer and alternative to Elizabethan collars, allowing
the animal unrestricted vision.
PILLOW COLLAR
Are designed for use in a wide range of applications:
• May be used in combination with an infusion jacket.
• For protection of devices such as infusion pumps.
• For protection in post surgical or treatment situations.
Made from durable, washable canvas and available with

Large Animal swivels; Available in stainless steel and high impact plastic; may be

Large Animal tethers; Designed to protect the catheter from damage and interference;
constructed from flexible, interlocking stainless-steel coil; variety of lengths available;
aluminum end pieces have set screws which fit into the corresponding slot on both the
swivel and the tether end-plate.
Tether end-plate; Connects the tether to the animal jacket; affixed to a reinforced an-
choring point mounted on the jacket; manufactured from a single piece of stainless steel

A comprehensive range of multi channel infusion sets is available for small and large laboratory animals.
Rodent swivel - dual fluid channels
For use long-term intravenous infusions and related applications; constructed of high-impact plastic;
reusable; may be used in such investigations as collection of physiological data and bile-duct
cannulation, among others; large- diameter tether accommodates dual infusion lines. The system is
compatible with standard rodent jackets, available in a range of standard needle gauges.
Large Animal swivel - multi - fluid channel
Available in both double and triple fluid channel models; for use in a number of simultaneous
applications, such as intravenous infusion, the collection of physiological data and bile-duct cannulation,
standard needles sizes (gauges 17 to 20).
Large Animal - electronic / fluid channel combinations
A range of made-to-order swivels combining both electronic and fluid channel is available; variety of
options, including: all electric, no fluid channels; single fluid, choise of electrical channels; double fluid,

We provide a wide range of products and services to customers conducting research on alternate
animals species, including hamsters, guinea pigs and ferrets. We manufacture equipment such
as swivels, tethers of various dimensions and weights and jackets. We also design and develop
specialized equipment to meet the specific needs of species and experimental procedures.
Guinea-pig jacket;

Animal Handling Equipment
To safeguard personnel while handling animals, we carry a complete range of handling equipment
designed and fabricated for flexibility, comfort and safety during long periods of wear. No other company
offers such a range of sizes: medium, large and extra large. Available as pairs or singles.
Level 1 Kevlar Gloves
100% fine-knit Kevlar gloves with internal seams throughout. May
be worn on their own for handling small animals, or under han-
dling gloves for species such as primates
Level 2 Kevlar Arm Protectors
Arm protectors made from 100% fine-knit Kevlar with sewn-in rein-
forcement. Designed to be worn either on their own or beneath a
pair of animal handling gloves.
Level 3 Leather Gauntlets
Full fingered, full length gauntlet. Glove section made from 100%
cowhide; elbow length cuffs made from split grain cowhide. Rug-
gedly constructed with internal seams throughout for optimum
protection and durability.

Level 4 Leather Doublers
For the highest level of protection, a 100% cowhide doubler is avail-
able with heavy duty snaps for attachments over the handling gaunt-
lets. Full thumb and index finger enclosure. Available in the same

Large-Animal Slings
Slings to restrain large animals used in a variety of experimental procedures.
All sling frames are manufactured of stainless steel;
standard frames are mounted on castors; sling covers are made of coated canvas
fabric; leg openings are bound with a variety of soft fabrics for added comfort.
Custom-designed frames and covers may be ordered to suit specific research re-
quirements.

Snuggle Family
Small animals are prone to stress and require extra care in handling. Mechanical restraints frequently
require the involvement of two personnel: one to restrain and one to perform. The resulting stress and
discomfort for the subject can often jeopardize the efficiency of the procedure.
The “SNUGGLE FAMILY” uses the principle of a cocoon rather than a rigid structure for immobilization. The
multiple flaps perform two functions: They are adjustable around the subject for effective yet comfortable
restraint, and positioned, or left open for access depending on the procedure. Both restraint and proce-
dure can be carried out by one handler.
The “Snuggle Family” is manufactured from flexible yet extremely durable canvas fabric. The fabric is
coated with nylon to facilitate laundering for reuse. Wide flaps with velcro fasteners allow for maximum
flexibility, ease of use and adjustment for fit between individual subjects. The “Snuggle Family” is available
in different sizes for a complete range of animals including pregnant females.
