The “Eastern Townships Antique Machinery
Club” is a non-profit corporation constituted in
Quebec under Part 3 of “La loi sur les
compagnies” in 1992.
The Club provides a forum for people interested
in antique machinery, toys, tools, and other
objects, to meet, communicate, exchange
information, and hold meetings, assemblies,
competitions, demonstrations, exhibitions. The
Club meets once a month for formal meetings
and holds an exhibition at least once a year.

It was a motorcycle and antique farm machinery
EXPO CVMG RICHMOND 2018 show. There were about 125 motorcycles there
but there was continuous coming and going. For

Oliver: 77, 770 For the second year, the Association Provinciale
du Patrimoine Agricole presented an exposition
at the Calixa Lavallée Fair site, not far from the
30 and Sorel. This activity occurred on
September 8-10.
The site is well equipped in infrastructure for an
antique farm machinery show. The site itself is
not enormous as a fairground but adequate for
the moment. Those responsible for Weekend
Rouge talk about renting land from the neighbor,
who is also an exhibitor himself.
For infrastructure, there are roadways, several
show buildings, an office building equipped with
a toilet section, and a big arena type building. At

Antique cars
Upon entering the site, there were a dozen
antique cars and pickups close to the admission
gate such as a 1951 Ford pickup and a GMC V6
pickup. Later in the day there were some twenty
old cars and pickups.

François Latour from Embrun Ontario had
several signs next to his tractor, The General,
displaying his 2015 Guinness Challenge success
and announcing another Guinness Challenge in
2019.
François Latour lead the group which managed
the 2015 Guinness Challenge at St. Albert
Ontario. The Challenge was to have the greatest
number of operating threshing machines for 15
minutes and they beat the Saskatchewan record
with 111 machines running. But in 2016,
François record was beat by a group at Austin
Manitoba with 139 machines operating.

group, the decision was to repeat the Challenge

The Michaud brothers The site has 1199 kiosques distributed between
four large pavillions: Centre BMR (500), Soleno

big companies and the short-line companies.
The big companies represented there were:
AGCO (Fendt, Massey Ferguson), Case-IH,
New Holland, John Deere, Kubota, Deutz-Fahr,
and Mahindra.
