Gifts made at Sunset Affair help ensure free admission and equitable access for every visitor to
Como and provide opportunities for people from all walks of life to experience the life-giving
connections between animals, plants, and people. Your support elevates what Como does
best—bringing people up close to animals from around the world, immersing them in beauti-
ful gardens, and expanding their appreciation for the natural world.

Como is so much more than a zoo and conservatory. It is a living classroom that inspires
children to learn about plants and animals and discover opportunities in the fields of science,
conservation, zoology and horticulture; a conservation education hub; an urban oasis for those
looking for refuge and respite in times of uncertainty; and a welcoming gathering place for all.

Support at any level will ensure that Como remains free and thriving for future generations.

           Value: $225
           Donor: Peter Paul Pottery

Embracing the “Mingei-sota” aesthetic, ceramic artist Peter Paul seeks
to merge traditional Japanese influences with contemporary American
utility. This special tea set, with mismatched cups in a complementary
glaze, captures the “wabi-sabi” spirit that finds beauty in the accidental
and unplanned. Handmade in Minnesota, this stunning stoneware set is
           finished in an ash glaze.
