For more than 30 years, Niesmann+Bischoff has
been building the most innovative motorhomes
around – both in terms of technology and design.
We set out to shape the industry right from the
beginning with our ‘Clou’, our very first model. Our
most recent idea was to build a smaller, lighter, more
agile motorhome for an active, spontaneous target
audience. But, at the same time, we wanted to create
something new. Something unlike any other.

By moving the B-pillar much further back and
making a flush transition between windscreen
and skylight, the Smove’s Fiat driving cabin seems
to flow into a single unit. This integrated look is
further enhanced by the sleek lines of the vehicle
and its very low clearance.
DYNAMIC BRAND VISION.
Both sportiness and agility have always been in
Niesmann+Bischoff’s DNA. With our optional
ClouLine design at the front and with the vehicle’s
height appearing less than it actually is, the
Smove epitomises this claim; and adorned with
the well-known family face, the Smove lines up
perfectly alongside Arto and Flair.
THREE-DIMENSIONALLY
DESIGNED REAR SECTION.
The rear of the Smove incorporates all technical
components such as tail lights, camera and dif-
fuser. Structural features such as the sills and roof
are absorbed into the rear, which further enhances

What’s the difference between two comfortable,
ergonomic driver’s and passenger seats and two
cosy recliners? Exactly 180 degrees, because the op-
tional SKA seats in the Smove can be whichever you
want. As driving seats, they offer you support on
long journeys and can be adjusted for the specific
needs of every part of your body.
When you feel the need to take a break and relax,
simply spin the seat 180 degrees around until it
locks in place, and rest your legs comfortably on the
sofa in front of you. Now just fold your arms behind
your head and enjoy a relaxing evening in front of
the TV located straight ahead.

The swivel toilet can be slid out with a simple flick
of the wrist; and when it is not needed, it can be

AS IF YOU ARE
DRIVING A CAR.
We want your holiday to begin right from the first
kilometre. So we have built many technical ‘clous’
into the Smove which provide unprecedented
dynamic handling. Not an everyday thing for a motor-
home, of course, but it is for us.
TORSIONAL RIGIDITY.
The Smove has up to 30 % higher torsional rigidity
compared to conventional construction frames.
Firstly, this is thanks to its extra-stable underfloor, a
42-mm-thick double-layered aluminium sandwich
base plate that is bolted and glued to the AL-KO low
frame. Secondly, specially reinforced B-pillars provide
a solid connection between body and cab. These
‘clous’ can be clearly felt in its excellent handling
characteristics and pleasant running smoothness.
18" ALLOY WHEELS.
The optional 18" alloy wheels including wheel spa
cer give the Smove an even more dynamic appear-
ance. They also absorb vibrations and bumps much
better, giving you a noticeably smoother ride.

Our motorhomes are extremely service-friendly. You
will always find gas bottles, water tanks, the battery
and service hatch for grey water and electricity in
exactly the right place. That is, where you need them.
CENTRAL SERVICE COMPARTMENT.
Drain valves, pressure water pump, external power
supply, optional city water connection as well as
filling connections for water and the optional gas
tank – here, you find everything centrally and dis-
creetly hidden away behind the apron flap.
GAS TANK.
The optional 50-litre gas tank is unique in a low-
profile and can be used either additionally or alter-
natively to the gas bottles.
WATER CAPACITY.
The large 140-litre water tank can be optionally up-
graded with a 60-litre auxiliary tank. Both tanks are
located in the heated base well and are perfectly
insulated even in sub-zero temperatures.

The optional underfloor air conditioning system is unique
for a low-profile. It ensures a low centre of gravity and
avoids detracting from the interior.A BIG STEP FOR WARM FEET. The Smove always keeps you well prepared even on those cold days on holidays or on your winter break. Whether you choose the standard Truma air heat- ing or the optional Alde hot water heating – with our well-thought-out, holistic heating concept, you can enjoy a cosy warm holiday in your Smove even when temperatures are freezing outside. Holistic means that all three components – effective heating system, an avoidiance of cold spots and our sophisticated air circulation – give you very straight- forward benefits: like warm feet, for example. DOUBLE FLOOR. Hot air outlets or convectors in the double floor protect all fixtures and fittings from the cold. At the same time, the double floor functions as a heat store and transfers the heat to the interior floor, similar to domestic floor heat- ing. Winter holidays – sometimes you get caught cold
by the weather, or caught in a sweat. We have made
sure the temperature always feels just right on your
holiday – at least in your Smove. We have been
making wall panels from double-layered aluminium
for more than 30 years and have been regularly
improving the material ever since.
The structure is simple: aluminium on the outside,
styrofoam on the inside. In this composition, the
panels are virtually non-conductive – heat and cold
have to stay outside, and to ensure all-round insu-
lation, we don’t just use this material in the rear
and side panels, but also in the double floor and
in the garage doors. Even with all this insulation,
of course we’ll keep our fingers crossed for good
weather for you.

walls conduct neither
heat nor cold.

The elaborately shaped side skirts made of GRP pro-

They cover the chassis frame as well as providing

The front bonnet is made of double-layered GRP,

for yourself that we have found a solution for a cosy,
warm interior, even in difficult places. If you tend to
spend your holidays in colder climates, we also
offer you some extras that will always make your
Smove a welcoming retreat.

The skylight and the optional Seitz-S7 windows are all double-glazed.
They are easy to operate with one hand and have ‘thermally broken’
aluminium frames to give them better insulating qualities.
WHEEL CASING INSULATION.
The rear wheel casings are insulated with expanded
polypropylene, which absorbs sounds and the cold
especially well.
DOUBLE FLOOR.
The underfloor and interior floor are both made
entirely of double-layered aluminium. This double
floor also stores heat, ensuring the interior of the

78 | 79We sent the Smove to a very special test track. Here, it was subject to conditions with very strong vi- brations, so that after 100 laps, it had been subject to a stress corresponding to over 100,000 km on the road. This allows us to uncover any weak spots straight away and fix them quickly.

fully, you’re prepared for all manner of wilderness with a Smove because
before a vehicle leaves our factory, we put it to the test on our own test track

We take common rainwater, which, thanks to its low surface tension, can really show up any leak. For this test, we collect rainwater in our own cistern. After so much rain, it’s time for some sun – because after all these tests, the Smove is finally ready to travel the world with you!
