Also, speeding up call data processing improves fraud management
because Vodafone can quickly identify fraudulent activity.

 Amdocs Mediation set to consolidate
 all mediation functions
Amdocs Mediation is currently one of several mediation systems that
Vodafone is using. Steudner says, “Amdocs Mediation can help us to
simplify our IT landscape. As we want to consolidate our mediation
systems onto one single platform, there is a good chance that Amdocs
Mediation will be the product of choice as we hope to see some
significant improvements in efficiency and a reduction of duplicated
 activity and resources.”

“The deployment of Amdocs Mediation 8 meets another milestone in
our strategy to modernize and simplify operations,” concluded Klaus
Lange, Director of IT Operations at Vodafone Germany. “With a system
that delivers high mediation performance on low-cost hardware, we
can support increasing data volumes as smartphone usage continues
to grow, while reducing total cost of system ownership.”

“As we want to consolidate our mediation systems
