4. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
Proof of membership by valid national Federation passport with WTE/WT membership. All competitors have
to proof their age and nationality by presenting their passport or identification card at the weigh-in.
Those who are not recognized as adults (underage) by law in their own country must submit a passport or
identification card together with a written consent (liability declaration) at registration signed by par-
ents or lawful guardians, accepting the participation and all parts of the official invitation.
All participants require a WT Global Licence (GAL – Global Athlete License or GOL – Global Official Li-
cense) and must be a member of a National Taekwondo Federation affiliated to the WT. This membership
must be proved at registration by providing a valid WT Global Licence. Onsite registration for WT Global
License is not possible. Registration must be done in advance.
The WT Licence must be valid or renewed for 2019. Entry fees are obligated at all times. All participants of
the German Open 2019 (officials & contestants) are responsible that they are registered and approved
through their respective WT Member National Association at least 1 month before the tournament it is re-
quired for.
An approved 2019 WT Global License (WT Global Athlete License OR Global Official License) is required
by all athletes and officials who wish to register for the German Open 2019
WT Global License registrations & renewals can only be made through the WT recognized Member National
Associations and application should be made at least 2 months before the Tournament starts to ensure the
WT licence can be processed and approved in time. There will be NO WT Global License registration onsite.

Registration is only accepted through the WT Event Registration system

License.
WT Ranking Seeding of Senior Athletes will be based on the March 2019 Rankings

7. ONLINE - REGISTRATION
Online registration: Online registration will only be available through the WT Global Member
ship System (GMS) at:

Registration ends: 08.03.2019 23:59 (German Time)

IMPORTANT: If the athlete registered online does not take part in the competition for some reason, but has
not been removed from the list of participants before deadline (08.03.2019) the athlete/ Team must fully
(100%) pay the entry fee for the participation.
8. ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT
€ 100,00 for each competitor via bank transfer. Entry fee must be transferred on to below
indicated account before the deadline 08.03.2018
Additional currency charges must be paid by the participating Team/ competitor. All currency charges which
are charged to the account of the German Taekwondo Federation must be balanced cash during registra-
tion.
Application is only valid when payment has been done to the bank account at the same time of registration
and when payments of all entry fees have been received 3 days after registration.
€ 120,00 for each competitor if paid in cash at registration
Entry fees are not refundable! All entry fees must be paid in Euro.

9. CHANGE OF WEIGHT DIVISIONS
Changing weight divisions after the deadline 08.03.2019 is only possible for a fee of € 25,00 at registration at
the Sporthalle.
With the registration the competitors as well as the federations accept all points of the official invitation and
outline.
10. EQUIPMENT
PSS including e-head protectors from DAEDO will be provided for all competitors and each weight division
(senior, junior, cadet).
This Equipment must be borrowed from the Organizing Committee. Passport or ID-Card is necessary.
All contestants must bring their own WT recognized equipment e.g. groin-, forearm-, shin-, mouthpiece,
gloves and sensor socks (compulsory)
Only WT approved equipment will be allowed to use in this tournament
11. ADMISSION/ TICKETS
Adults: 10,00€
Children/ Juniors: 6,00€
12. VISA
The Organizing Committee recommends that visa application should be done at least one month prior to
the entry into the Federal Republic of Germany. The Organizing Committee will help the participating teams
for entry visas if requested. Deadline: 08.03.2019

13. REFEREES
A maximum of four referees per participating nation will be admitted. Referees must be licensed by WT and

14. COACHES
Coaches must be at least 18 years old and can enter the competition area only with proper sport shoes and
tracksuit.
Coach admission:

Before weigh-in all coaches must have the Special ID-Cards for their whole team. Weigh-in and entry to
the gymnasium only with Special ID-Cards.
Special ID-Cards for all competitors and coaches! You can get these from the Organizing Committee at
the registration center.
All coaches need WT-License (GOL) and (if applicable) Continental coach License. Only 1 competitor and
1 coach are allowed to enter the field of play. National teams are allowed to have following accreditations:
2 MNA officials, 1 official doctor (not second coach), coach accreditations according to the number of ath-
letes in the Team. Club teams can only register coach accreditations all other accreditations are not allowed.
15. CLASSIFICATION & AWARDS
Classification: Places 1 to 3 will be scored for classification of Teams and Nations.
The key 6 – 3 – 1 will be used.
Award presentation: 1st, 2nd and two 3rd places will be awarded with Medals (Individuals)
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Teams and Nations
List of results: The competitors agree with the announcement, that the first and last name,
the weight category, the Nation/Organization and the placing in the list of re-
sults will be reported in the internet as well as in printed media.
16. LIABILITY
All participants of the German Open are aware to participate at their own risk. The registration application
implies that the participants agree to assume responsibility for themselves and to release all others from all
and any liability which may directly or indirectly result from the German Open.
The German Taekwondo Federation (DTU) and the organizer assume no responsibility for any damages, in-
juries or losses and specifically note that they also take no responsibility for any damages, losses, injuries or
other consequences due to (directly or indirectly) acts of terrorism, terrorist threats or act of nature.
All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in the Federal Republic
of Germany. If not, this will have to be paid in cash.

17. COMPETITION RULES & METHOD
Competition Rules: The current competition rules of the WT are valid.
Competition Mode: Single elimination tournament system (K.O. – system)
The referee director DTU and WT Technical Delegate can decide to adjust
the competition.
Instant Video Replay: Instant Video Replay system will be used
Quota: 2 quota until and including semi-final
1 bonus quota will be given in final when all quotas have been used.
Doping Control: Some contestants chosen at random will be tested.
With his/her participation the competitor accepts the agreement with the
NADA/WADA (National & World Antidoping Agency)
Entry Field of Play: Only the competitors and their coaches will have admittance with valid ac-
creditations to the field of play
Draw sheets publication: The draw sheets and brackets will be daily published, one (1) day before the
start of competition on the following (social) media platforms:

19. ANTIDOPING REGULATIONS
With the participation the competitor accepts the agreement with the NADA/WADA Info: www.nada.de
All participants accept the NADA Code at it latest version (2015), and with their participation they agree to the
application of the Antidoping regulations.
