WELCOME

T he British Film Festival presented by Palace returns in 2020 for
its seventh year with a standout selection of films from the
    British Isles.

The line-up features 22 films, including some of the most anticipated
British cinema of the year – from powerful true stories and literary
    adaptations to comedies and documentaries.

Opening with hilarious comedy Blithe Spirit, based on legendary
playwright Noel Coward's 1941 play, and including 18 Australian
premieres, this year’s selection stars some of Britain’s best known
and beloved stars and highlights the stories and creative power of
    women.

The Festival features two vibrant music documentaries, Rockfield:
The Studio on the Farm and White Riot, as well as three retrospective
films, all screening in glorious 4K restorations: The Elephant Man and
Flash Gordon, both celebrating their 40th anniversary, and The
    Ladykillers, celebrating its 65th anniversary.

We wish you a truly entertaining cinema and festival experience!

    Enjoy,

Kim Petalas – Programming Director - Palace Cinemas
