Eligibility -
This is a TBA Accredited Tournament and is open to all Adult registered 2021 members.
Interstate Bowlers are encouraged to enter. This is a handicap event were 80% of the highest
entering average plus 10 pins will be used for both stages.
Format –
Handicap event with divisions for Men and Women and conducted in two (2) separate stages
with pinfall plus handicap determining the winners in each stage. Athletes can attempt in
either squad at an additional fee of $40.00 per person.

Day One - 6th June 2021 Stage 1 Qualifying –
All bowlers will bowl 5 game qualifying in A, B, C Squad as follows, moving after every 2
games, and one game for the 5th game. A tie for any place will require a 9th & 10th frame
playoff until the tie is broken. If a bowler participates in more than one squad, the best squad
scores will be used for qualifying.

Squad A: 6th June 2021 – 5 games

Check-in: 0915
Check-in closes: 0925 hours
Start Time: 0930 hours – 1330 hours

Re-oil @ after this squad and prior to Squad B

Squad B: 6th June 2021 – 5 games

Check-in: 1330 hours
Check-in closes: 1355 hours
Start Time: 1400 hours – 1730 hours

24 vacancies – approximately
Re-oil @ after this squad and prior to Squad C

Squad C: 6th June 2021 – 5 games

Check-in: 1730
Check-in closes: 1755 hours
Start Time: 1800 hours – 2030 hours

A tie for any place will require a 9th & 10th frame playoff until the tie is broken.

Day 2 - 7th June Stage 2 Format –

Check-in: 0910
Check-in closes: 0925 hours
Start Time: 0930 hours – 1530 hours

All finalists will be seeded from their qualifying scores in stage one, pinfall plus handicap. Top
16 Male and Top 16 Female will complete in Match play.

Athletes seeded in positions 1st - 4th in either male or female will receive a double round bye
to Round 3. Athletes seeded in positions 5th -8th in either male or female will receive a single
round bye to Round 2. Athletes seeded in positions 9-16th in either male or female will
compete in Round one.

A tie for any place will require a 9th & 10th frame playoff until the tie is broken.

Seeding

Round One:

Athletes seeded in positions 9-16th in either male or female will compete in Round one in both
male and female divisions with male vs male and female vs female. A tie for any place will
require a 9th & 10th frame playoff until the tie is broken.

Round Two:

Winners from round one will compete against positions 5-8 in both male and female divisions
with male vs male and female vs female. A tie for any place will require a 9th & 10th frame
playoff until the tie is broken.

Round Three:

Winners from round two will complete against positions 1-4, in both male and female divisions
with male vs male and female vs female. A tie for any place will require a 9th & 10th frame
playoff until the tie is broken.

Semi-Finals:

Winners from round three to compete in the semi-finals in both male and female divisions
with male vs male and female vs female. A tie for any place will require a 9th & 10th frame
playoff until the tie is broken.

Finals:

Winners from the semi-finals to compete for the cup champions position in both male and
female divisions with male vs male and female vs female. A tie for any place will require a
9th & 10th frame playoff until the tie is broken.

Prize Fund

The following prize money is guaranteed and will pay equally to both Male and Females in
both divisions.

Rules

     This is a TBA Accredited Tournament and is open to all Adult registered 2021 members.
01 Interstate Bowlers are encouraged to enter. All TBA rules and regulations shall apply to this
     event.

   Entering averages will be the highest league average as of 30th May 2021, provided you have
   bowled a minimum of 18 games. NOTE: If your league average has been affected due to
02 COVID19 or you cannot make the minimum required games, please contact the Tournament
   Director to discuss your average and indicate this on the entry form.

   It is deemed the Bowler’s responsibility to declare their correct average. In line with RULE 706
   all averages will be checked prior to the squad starting when a bowler competes in multiple
03 leagues or tournaments in more than one centre, he must submit his highest average in any
   competition where an average is kept for future competition when entering the tournament unless
   the rules of the tournament he enters define otherwise. This includes ATBSO tournaments.
     This is a handicap event. The handicapping will be applied based on 80% of the highest
04 entered average plus 10 pins. No negative handicaps will apply.
   Dress Trousers/Dress Shorts (No Labels) for Males. Skirts, Dress Shorts, Slacks or 3/4 Pants
   for Females. A collared bowling shirt is required or bowling Industry manufactured shirt. Shirts
05 with another bowler’s name are not permitted. No track pants, cargo pants, tank tops, singlets
   or denim allowed.
   No mobile phones, headphones, coaches’ eye/apps, or electronic devices are permitted during
06 the event. Approval must be requested prior to the event form the tournament director.
   Approval will only be given when the request meets criteria outlined by TBA.

07 The consumption of alcohol is not permitted during the tournament.

     Results will be published on www.tenpinresults.com.au the TBA national website. Please see
08 our website for privacy and terms and conditions.

     No Bowler will be permitted more than one entry in day two or stage two of this event, however
09 can enter the qualifying more than once. Blind scores are not permitted.

     The Tournament Director has the right to review/re-average any bowler as per Tournaments
10 Directors Handbook set-out by TBA Australia. Any rules not covered in these rules will be
     decided by the Tournament Director.
   To observe safe practises during the COVID -19 environment, bowlers are requested to
11 observe hygiene practises and physical distancing measures during play. A reminder that no
   high fives, handshakes, or team huddles are permitted.
12 Late entries may be permitted past the closing date and advertised on Facebook.
     In the event the approach becomes unsafe as deemed by the venue for slip trips or falls, the
13 Tournament Director may have the approach cleaned and stop play for these lanes will cease
     during this process.
14 Adult Bowler is defined as an individual that has turned 18 on or before the 5th June 2021.
     No Athlete is to claim more than one place winnings.
