There may be very few people who have not heard the name of Givenchy and for good
reason too. Right from Hubert de Givenchy's quintessential "little black dress" that set the
scene for the glamour and the je ne sais quoi in Breakfast at Tiffany's to the extremely
relaxed Nightingale Duffle and chic Pandora that are cult favorites among celebs,
Givenchy's popularity is going stronger than ever.
Speaking of popularity, a classic and highly sought-after design of Givenchy, the Antigona,
was launched in 2010 by Ricardo Tisci that has endured as one of the house's most iconic
designs and a must-have for women and men alike, available in an expansive range of hues

Ant, Givenchy's new creative director Matthew Williams unveiled the Antigona Soft, a
relaxed and oversized take on the classic and I have to say, I'm head over heels about this
bag!
Its name refers to Antigone, the Greek goddess of strength, and indeed, the original Ant,
with its clean, structured and urban lines, screams "I'm here for business and I mean it".
Admittedly, that is not the impression many of us may like to make everywhere (unless you
are THE boss!) and the Antigona Soft caters perfectly to our demographic. In fact, it's a
great addition to your closet even if you do own the original Antigona already, because its
much, MUCH bigger shape and an effortless, graceful and even artsy aesthetic creates an
entirely different style that you can rock to work, the gym and to the club later on.
Me being a guy, however, what I most appreciate about this bag is that it's got its male
iteration too, that's bigger and comes in a number of materials from the most luxe leather
to canvas, houndstooth and wool.

Furthermore, it's got a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap unlike the original Ant and
has a zip top closure without losing any of its carefree vibe, so it's alluring AND secure!
