Scarborough is proud to have hosted eleven consecutive, high
profile, Armed Forces Day events since 2009 and we are delighted
that the town has been selected to host the Armed Forces Day
National Event in 2022
                  2021. It is a major coup for our borough and is in
recognition of the tremendous effort that we, in conjunction with
our partners and the wider community, have put into honouring
the contribution and sacrifices of our Armed Forces for more than
a decade.

Scarborough Armed Forces Day has regularly attracted between
15,000 and 30,000 visitors annually with many Armed Forces
families and visitors coming from across the UK to enjoy the event.
We know what it takes to put on an event that people remember for
all the right reasons and get maximum exposure from it. We also
have a proven track record of nurturing financial and in-kind
support from businesses and organisations who share our values of
honouring and celebrating the Armed Forces and in promoting the
Yorkshire coast. This has allowed us to secure some of the very
best displays, exhibits and activities available.

The Armed Forces Day National Event celebration in 2022
                                                      2021 is
expected to attract a diverse audience of around 200,000 and we
want it to be the best Armed Forces Day that Scarborough and the
country has ever hosted. With your support, we can achieve this
ambition and at the same time ensure a fitting tribute is paid to the
Armed Forces.
