Something often overlooked
at organisations like ours is the
incredible value and effort that each
colleague brings day-to-day.
At Alexander our colleagues are
what define us. From showroom
staff, to our project management
team, our fitters and everyone
inbetween, helping us to provide
a friendly, trustworthy service like
we have since we started back in
1976.

Introduction
Alexander was born from the old
kitchen shop in Tarring back in
1976. I bought the company with a
vision to create a kitchen, bathroom
and bedroom company offering
durable products and exceptional
customer service, important factors
that we hold dear to us today.
A lot has happened since then.
Let me talk you though some of
the most important moments that
shaped the company that we are
today.

Our Story
1976
As I said, I purchased the old
kitchen shop in Tarring in 1976 with
a vision to create what Alexander
is today. I set up with just two
suppliers
1978
After steady progress I partnered
with two local bathroom suppliers:
JS Bathroom furniture and the
Pura Bathrooms Group. In this time
kitchen sales also improved giving
us scope to partner with national
renowned kitchen partner Mereway,
at the time an up and coming British
kitchen supplier with a lot to offer.

Our Story
1984
In a significant move for us we
moved to our now Worthing
showroom. In awe of the incredible
lighting and memorable location
we moved and to this day haven’t
looked back.
1988
In this year we opened our first
showroom away from Worthing
at George Street in Hove. After
creating a strong reputation in the
area, we closed the showroom in
2004 for logistical reasons. To this
day we have many customers from
this way returning for our services.

Our Story
1993
In this year we partnered with local
installation company Masterfit,
headed up by my son-in-law and
Alexander managing director Phil
Beechnior. At the time and ever
since Masterfit have helped us
offer a much saught-after project
management and installation
service to the Sussex county.
1995
Alexander Contracts was born in
1995. Our kitchen contracting wing
that has been appearing in high-
class developments across the
country ever their creation.

2006
Partnering with new suppliers
Nobilia, Pelipal and Daval this year
we saw vast expansion, offering
new contemporary German
kitchens as well as a bespoke
bedroom furniture service and
option of popular curved unit
bathroom furniture from Pelipal.
2015
In this year I retired, leaving the
business in the capable hands of
Phil and my two children and also
directors Aron and Sam. I still have
an input with the business, offering
my experience where it is needed.

2017
This year we again ventured outside
of our home Worthing. Opening a
new showroom at Unit H, Foundry
Close in Horsham. We recently
(in 2020) opened a bathroom
extension of the showroom for the
local people of Horsham to enjoy.

We still offer the same service we
always have, putting the customer
at the heart of everything we do
and never forgetting why we are
the most trusted kitchen, bathroom
and bedroom supplier in Sussex still
family run since 1976.

tweaks to make it work for you and

Having our own fully employed
tradespeople also allows us to
give a single quotation including
all ancillary work that is to be
undertaken, keeping it simple for
you.

Full Project Management
Our dedicated project management
team will handle the complete
organisation of your project.
They will organise the full
installation, including a detailed site
survey making any amendments.
Once installed and you are happy
with your renovation, they will issue
you with a yearlong guarantee
for our workmanship, as well as
remaining a future contact in
the unlikely event a remedial is
required.

Our friendly tradespeople can be

years’ experience they can also be

finish to your renovation.

also accounts for internal building
work, which we have undertaken on

options on all our renovations,
working with them where possible.
