ABOUT THE EVENT
The annual Avalon Fashion Show & Tea is a fun and fashionable event that celebrates and
supports women recovering from addiction. Guests are treated to a well-stocked silent auction
featuring exciting getaways, beautiful clothing, jewelry and artwork, and also delight in delicious
tea and treats from local cafes and businesses.
Attendees are treated to a impressive fashion
show featuring a wide array of items from
local designers. The afternoon also showcases
the talents of the Avalon community, providing
a stage to demonstrate musical talents and to
share the message of hope and recovery with
the crowd.
Avalon is pleased to celebrate its seventh
year of this important and inspiring event that
connects and supports our community.
ABOUT AVALON RECOVERY SOCIETY
Avalon Recovery Society is a registered non-profit organization that provides free, life-
changing services to women in recovery from addiction. Each of our Centres offers peer support,
free childcare, clothing donation closets and drop-in hours for women seeking freedom from
addiction.
Avalon Women’s Centre White Rock opened
its doors in 2012 to become part of the Avalon
Recovery Society family, joining Avalon Women’s
Centre Vancouver and Avalon Women’s Centre
North Shore. This warm, welcoming Centre has
a strong and thriving community where women
connect and support each other to live a life free
from addiction. It has changed - and in some cases
saved - many lives in the White Rock community and
beyond.
