workshops, and inspiring programs – all taught by our gifted instructors who are Chairman

in dance, art, music, youth theatre and fitness, there’s something for everyone –

Art Gallery
Fairmount Gallery offers shows to individual and group artists throughout the year along with our annual juried Fairmount Art
Exhibition (FAE). Our art shows feature the best local and area artists, with new installations every 6-8 weeks. Please let us know
if you would like to be of help in these events or are an artist interested in exhibiting work.
Catalog Distribution and Delivery
Help spread the word about Fairmount’s programs through distributing the catalog to designated places in the local community.
Facility
As with any old house, our beautiful building is always in need of some attention. Check with the office on the running list of
upkeep items that are available as volunteer opportunities.

strengthen the Fairmount dance program by providing students professional training by professional dancers.
Additional performance experiences are available to Fairmount Dance Theatre Company (FDTC) students
through opportunities to dance in Verb Ballets’ professional productions.

Spanish Dance Artistic Director & Spanish Dance Instructor
Founded in 1972 by Libby Lubinger, Fairmount Spanish dancers are based at the Fairmount Center
for the Arts and are the only dance company in Ohio dedicated solely to Spanish dance. The company
has performed statewide, and its members perform regularly throughout northeast Ohio presenting
concerts and lecture demonstrations for schools, organizations and civic groups. The Fairmount
Spanish Dancers are Visiting Artists in the Ohio Arts Council’s Artists in Education program. Among the distinguished
guest artists who have worked with the company are Maria Alba, La Conja, Ulrika Frank, José Greco, Nana Lorca,
Ethan Margolis, Teodoro Morca, Cihtli Ocampo, Ilisa Rosal, Carlota Sanata, and Marija Temo.

Fairmount Center is pleased to offer voice, piano, violin, viola, guitar, ukulele, & saxophone lessons. Recitals are scheduled
throughout the year, and students are encouraged, but not required, to participate. All recitals are open to the public and are free.
Private music lessons have been popular at the Fairmount Center for the last thirty years! The study of voice, piano, strings or any
instrument, requires continuous study and practice. Registration for Private Instruction can be made through the Center with
lesson times scheduled independently with the instructors and can be purchased per lesson or in groups of 10. Semester dates do
not apply to Private Music Lessons. Registration and payments are accepted at the FCA office.

This is the classic tale of Dorothy, who explores the Land of Oz, in order to find her way home. There she
meets the forgetful Scarecrow, the heartless Tin Man, and the timid Lion. She also encounters the Good
Witch and her sister the Wicked Witch, as well as a mysterious Wizard. Students will learn techniques in
acting, dance and voice while participating in the musical production of The Wizard of Oz.
It is recommended that all students bring a snack, a binder, pencils and wear comfortable clothing to rehearsals.
