Getting to Cardiff – a very accessible city, Cardiff

Forged on a history of iron and coal mining thanks to the
valleys in the north, Cardiff has blossomed into a lively and
cosmopolitan city. The city centre, which can be explored on
foot, offers a mix of shopping, museums, dining and

guardian of both the Laws and the Spirit of Cricket, and MCC sides (which play around

ground, which celebrated its two hundredth anniversary in 2014, is also the setting for
the state-of-the-art MCC Cricket Academy, the unrivalled MCC Library and the world-

Getting to Nottingham – Nottinghamshire is conveniently situated at the heart of the

Our Test Venue, Trent Bridge – The home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Trent
Bridge is recognised as one of the finest cricket venues across the globe with many
cricketing greats leaving their mark on history here. It has acted as host for county and
Test cricket since 1838 and is the world’s third oldest Test ground. Trent Bridge held its
first international Test match in 1899 between England and Australia and has developed
steadily ever since. The ground’s famous Pavilion, kept within the architectural
parameters of its 1889 foundation, is thought to be one of the most renowned
trademarks in cricket. The Fox Road Stand, opened in 2002, is also iconic with its
modernistic aircraft-wing roof which has seen it win awards for architectural excellence.

London 6 Second Ashes Test – Lord’s (B)
Possibly one of the highlights for any cricket enthusiast
would be a trip to the home of cricket - Lord’s. Add the fact
that this is the Second Ashes Test and excitement will be at
fever pitch! Each day we will have private transfers to Lord’s
with return to your hotel at the conclusion of the day’s play.
TUESDAY 21 JULY

Venice Our Italian adventure begins this morning with a short

Our day starts with a walking tour of this jewel of the
Renaissance, visiting the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and

Tuscan hills. For those not comfortable walking, a coach will
be on hand to take you between the fabulous sights. For the
afternoon, you are at leisure to further explore this UNESCO
SOUTHBANK PROMENADE, LONDON
World Heritage Site at your own pace.
