is a finishing technique for smooth and seamless texture, with white cement as the main material, together with color pigments and pebbles that can be
applied as needed.

Materials and Equipment Suggestions

2. Before moulding Terrazzo or Finazzo, cure water around the area to make sure of highest
water absorption. This will help prevent water absorption from the Terrazzo or Finazzo mix.
• For flooring, curing water before pouring the mix at least 1 night.
• For wall, dampen with water before plastering.
3. Mixing materials
Mix white cement with pebbles (for Terrazzo) or with fine aggregate (for Finazzo) with a ratio of
1:2. Mix until well blended and the mixture has the right texture. If color pigment is needed, mix
the color with white cement first before mixing it with pebbles or water.
4. Moulding
Pour the mix on to the area. Use trowel to spread out and level down the mixture. During this
process, use compressive roller twice to compress and even out the entire floor area. Squeeze
out extra water and leave to dry for 7 days before first polishing (curing water every day).
5. Surface conditioning
Start this process after moulding for 5-7 days. The first surface conditioning is usually referred
to as “coarse conditioning” with abrasive disc size 60, 120, 240 respectively. This is to erase all
scratches and markings and also to level out the surface.
6. Patching and second-time polishing
• Fill putty and get rid of air bubbles. Fix uneven parts with white cement. Mix water and color
pigments with the same ratio used for moulding. Leave to dry for 5 days before the second
polishing/surface conditioning.
• Start the second polishing with abrasive disc no. 240 and slippery rock. During this process,
polishing disc no. 400 or 600 and 5 Extra for granite polishing may also be used.
7. Coating
• After the polished surface is dry, clean the area thoroughly before waxing or applying coating
agent for beautiful and lasting terrazzo/finazzo.
• Coating the surface with coating agent will improve the color of the Terrazzo or Finazzo,
producing more vivid color, and prevent dirt or any other unwanted materials.
