STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING:
A stainless steel interior provides a reflection of UV
radiation and this increases the efficiency of the
radiation by up to 35%. In addition, the stainless
steel ensures a longer life of the housing.

ALU An aluminium housing or coating on the inside
provides a reflection of the UV-C radiation and this
increases the efficiency of the radiation by up to 35%.

UV-C DISINFECTION UV-C TREATMENT Over 100 years ago German scientists discovered that the top surface of lake-water was sterile when exposed to sunlight. Investigation led to the discovery of Ultraviolet light. Situated in the electro- magnetic spectrum between X-rays and visible light, Ultraviolet (UV) light has many beneficial properties. UV light is split into four main categories, UV-A, UV-B, UV-C and Vacuum UV. The UV-C spectrum (200 to 280 nanometers) is the most lethal range of wavelengths for microorganisms. This range, with 254 nanometers being the peak germicidal wavelength, is known as the Germicidal Spectrum. UV-C light has the ability to cause permanent damage to a wide variety of nuisance microorganisms in water. THE TARGETED MICROORGANISM Each type of microorganism requires a specific UV-C radiation exposure rate to successfully complete the disinfection process. The targeted microorganism must be directly exposed to the UV-C radiation long enough for the radiation to penetrate the microorganism’s cell wall. However, it takes only seconds for UV-C light rays to inactivate waterborne microorganisms by breaking through the microorganism’s cell wall and disrupting their DNA. This often totally destroys the organism, or at the very least will impair its ability to reproduce. UV-C LAMP LIFESPAN TL-, PL- and T5 UV-C lamps have an average lifespan of minimal 9000 hours (± 1 year). After that the lamp will still function, but for less than 80% and the strength is too low to kill algae and bacteria. Amalgam lamps have a lifespan of 16000 hours. The Xclear Xpose UV-C is a high quality UV-C TL unit in
30 and 55 watt. Because of its large reactor diameter, the
water has a long exposure time to UV-C radiation. Ideal for
ponds where a high disinfection efficiency is needed.

The Xpose UV-C has a special water guidance inside the
house for an optimal exposure. The special water guidance
inside the house will also guide the quartz sleeve for easy TL Lamp
replacement. The unit can also be mounted in the opposite
way. The position of the inlet and return (left or right) is
therefore free to choose. The inlet has 2 x 1½” female
threaded connections. With 1½” male threaded adaptor
suited for solvent connections. The remaining opening will
be used for the supplied transparent plug as lamp indicator.
The Xpose UV-C comes with hose tails 25/32/40 mm.

OPERATION
This revolutionary combination of ozone and UV-C makes a
pond with a unbelievable clarity possible! With this Xclear AOP
Compact Ozone & UV-C unit on your pond system you are able
to keep your water fresh, crystal clear and especially hygienic
clean. You connect the Xclear AOP Compact Ozone & UV-C on
to your pond system. Using a pump, the water is pumped into
the unit through the supplied reactor. Because of the water
pressure in the reactor, air is sucked through the venturi system.
Air is sucked into the unit via the air valve and flows through the
area between the quartz glass and the AOP Compact Ozone &
UV-C lamp. Because air enters the unit via the lamp, it becomes
loaded with ozone particles that were generated by the special
AOP Compact Ozone & UV-C lamp, which produces 0.6 grams
of ozone. After it has passed the ball valve, the ozone enriched

The VGE Pro UV-C Purifiers are equipped with the unique Smart
Pin Technology (SPT). This innovative system is a reliable way to
integrate the UV-C lamp(s) in a safe, efficient and smart way in a
reactor.
The SPT makes it possible to replace the lamp safely, although
the system remains filled with water. If the lamp is mistakenly not
turned off during the replacement, it will switch off automatically
as soon as it is removed from the socket. Due to the seal
between the lamp socket and lamp, the system can be used in
situations where IPx4 is required. The high-quality ceramic is an
excellent electrical insulator and is resistant to corrosion. A visual
observation of the operation of the lamp is no problem through
various transparent parts.

The 3-chamber filter is a pump fed biological- and mechanical
filter. The water passes through 3 filter chambers that are filled

Water enters the filter trough an in-line 40 watt UV-C lamp
before passing the filter chambers. The UV-C radiation

OPERATION
Biological filter with 2 plastic sieve screens and a unique

PROFI CLOVERLEAF FILTER The Profi Cloverleaf filter is a modular filter system made of 4
modules. Each module has its own filter media for very effective

OPERATION
Module A: Water enters this 1st module through the Ø110mm inlet
and has to go up through a pipe system and a filter net structure.

BEADFILTER BYPASS
Installing this bypass allows the use of more economical
(low pressure) pumps. Due to a very compact bypass
system, the multi-way valve is completely unused during
filtering as the water flows straight into the filter and also
leaves the filter in a straight line. This action results in at
least 30% less pressure loss (depending on the type of
pump). The bypass system is very easy to install on all
Xclear Beadfilter models, using the unions supplied.
