Our starting point is a standard
'Measurement Boat'. This comprises
the basic hull and deck plus all the
fittings that are included when a
Tasar is weighed-in for a regatta.
This option allows current Tasar
owners to upgrade using their
existing fittings.
The standard specification of the
'Measurement Boat' does not include
the mast, spars, sails or foils.
However when you buy a new hull, you are also eligible for a 10% discount on all of those items, and in f act any eq uipment in Signal Locker's catalogue for six months following deliver y of your Measurement Boat. A complete ready-to-race Tasar is £12,300 incl 20% VAT. Outline Specification…
The specification for our factory order is for the hull, deck and thwart assembly,
plus fittings that are typically installed when the boats are in 'Measurement Trim’…
• Primary Hull Fittings – forestay U-bolt, mast pin, hatches, gudgeons, thwart
strut
• RCB Shroud Tracks – tracks, underbars, RCB cars, cleats, pull-back lines and
handles
• Toestraps – saddles, cleats, padded toestraps, adjuster lines and shock-cord
tensioner
• Jib Tracks – tracks, cars, cleats
• Traveller System – track, 3-pin channel top car, ratchet blocks, traveller line
& cleats
• Mainsheet Swivel and Block – swivel with mainsheet ratchet block only
Hull Specification
Hull and deck assemblies are built by XSP to the new specification, including the
new centreboard case / thwart arrangement, revised deck laminate exclusion of
plastic handholds.
Tasar weight
The new minimum weight of hulls built is now 61 kg. The minimum weight of boats
in measurement trim remains at 68kg, which allows for about 7 kg of fit-out weight.
New Boat Orders…
Orders are accepted on the following basis:-
Equipment included with new boats will be as per attached 2021 specification
unless agreed otherwise in writing
For a period of 6 months following delivery, additional fit-out equipment (eg.
mast, spars, sails, foils etc.) can be purchased for the boat at a discount of
10% from Signal Locker published prices
Deposit:- £2,500 with order
Hull price:- £7,900 incl 20% VAT, delivery ex works Lymington
Complete boat price:- £12,300 incl 20% VAT, delivery ex works Lymington
Terms of Business:- BMF standard marine contract terms (Issue 15)
Individual specification sheet, offer and order form will be supplied prior to
delivery
Orders confirmed on receipt of deposit to be paid by bank transfer
