ALLEGRO 80 is a premium, fun and exciting new Cover Band, with a repertoire list that spans from Bruno Mars to Kool & The Gang to Toto to Whitney Houston and more! The term Allegro has an Italian origin and can be directly defined as “Lively” which is a perfect description of the band. The musical definition of Allegro is “performed at a brisk speed” which is also apt, as the band brings the energy with some great uptempo hit songs, and the entire team focuses on the service of the entertainment business. With performance delivery and the constant fine-tuning of understanding each new audience at the forefront of the band’s focus, Allegro 80 consists of 3 pre- mier vocalists i.e TYE PLATINUM, LEA HEART AND CLINT BRINK. (Did we mention that the 80 is representative of them all being 80’s kids?) Top 40? Old School? Motown? Swing? Duets? We’ve got it all. Perfect for that time of your event that you want your group on the dance floor (after a long evening of speeches) or just as suitable for the first dance at your wedding (eek!), and even great as a live and palatable soundtrack over that amazing dinner you’ll be having (at your year-end soiree). TYE Multi-talented Tye Platinum is a prominent performing artist with an impressive array of TV and stage events and recordings under his belt. Tye reached the finals of The Voice South Africa 2019 and has performed at big-stage events alongside the likes of Sipho Hotstix, Jonathan Butler and five-time grammy award-winning Ladysmith Black mambazo. He’s also had the privilege of performing with the late Johnny Clegg at the Nelson Mandela memorial at Cape Town Stadium in 2013. Tye has written songs for South African house DJ Euphonik, and has composed TV jingles for brands like Snackworx (Willards Cheese Curls)
LEA Drawing influence from the likes of Rihanna, Celine Dion, Beyonce, Adele, Emeli Sande amongst others, Lea Heart’s fanbase grows by the hundreds on her social media plat- forms and is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with. The Singer/Songwriter/Voiceover Artist has performed on Ex- presso Morning Show and at multiple events such as Cafe Roux, Mojo Market, Rocking 4 Cancer, LGBT Rainbow Friendly Events (with international & local acts Ambers Closet, Ava Pearl, No Diggity). Lea Heart has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Roman’s Pizza & garnered support from the likes of KFM, Heart FM, One FM, Zone Radio, GoodHope FM, Clicks Radio, Ackermans Radio, and others. Lea is the rose amongst the thorns in Allegro 80. (The guys may say it’s the other way around!)
CLINT Crooner Clint Brink was born and bred in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town and has been singing since the age of 13. His soulful velvet voice has pulled the heartstrings of audiences across Cape Town. It’s his high pitched baritone that sets him apart from the rest. Clint has performed on stages such as big as Grand Are- na and as intimate as Jackson Hall. He is influenced and inspired by musicians such as Adele, Ray Charles and Eric Clapton and comes from a musical family. His father Ibra- him Khalil Shihab (formerly Chris Schilder) is legendary Cape Town composer and jazz pianist and former member of Cape Flats jazz-rock band, Pacific Express. When Clint is not making music, he’s polishing up on his pool skills. He is also a professional pool player.
