The Asterias Beach Hotel is family owned and run, now with a third-genera�on
Management team, with hotel and wedding experience led from the heart, which we feel
is essen�al for crea�ng extra special occasions.
Your wedding day should be one of the most memorable days of your life. For this
reason, we choose to host only one wedding per day, as we feel that this day is special and
should only belong to you.
We invite you to pledge together, your love forever in the Cyprus sunshine, with the
turquoise sea glistening and views of the alluring golden sand beach in front of you.
All our venues have been created to cap�vate the perfect ambience for your fairytale
day, with personalised choices for your cocktail recep�on and canapes to add an extra
special touch.
Wedding recep�on buffets and gala menus are created specially to complement our
wonderful climate, and for you to impress your guests.
We also offer beverage packages created specially to accompany your banque�ng op�ons.

Our Location
Our hotel is in a truly magnificent loca�on, directly overlooking the clear Mediterranean
Sea, on the superb Makronissos Beach, with its blue flag award for crystal clear blue
Waters and fine golden sand. The hotel has spectacular views of neighboring beaches
and out towards the na�onal park of Cavo Greko. The coastline of Ayia Napa is one of the
most beau�ful parts of the island.
Our Hotel is less than 50km away from Larnaca Interna�onal Airport and 4km away
to the Ayia Napa town center.

Terms of Venues
Before choosing your venues, please read our terms of venues.
The ceremony & banque�ng venue hire fee includes set up of Tables & Chairs
dressed in white covers only. Food & beverage items, entertainment op�ons,
flowers, decora�on and other extras are not included in the venue hire fee and
are booked at addi�onal cost.
Minimum and maximum guest numbers apply for each venue as stated above at
each venue informa�on.
Cocktail Recep�on venue hire fee is complimentary if held at the ceremony
venue a�er the ceremony on the wedding day.
The outdoor recep�on venues are available for hire un�l Midnight. The music in
all outdoor venues can be played un�l 23:30 hrs. The music in indoor venues is
permi�ed un�l 02:00 hrs.

o Arranges appointment and colla�on of informa�on for the Town Hall.
o Accompanies you to the Town Hall for your registra�on appointment.
o Assists with venue choices, banque�ng menus, decora�ons, entertainment etc.,
o Will book and liase with suppliers on your behalf.
o Assists and supports couples throughout the process.
o Pre-wedding mee�ng to confirm and finalise the order of the day and final
prepara�ons.

1. The wedding ceremony must be followed by a recep�on meal at any of the hotel
wedding recep�on venues on the same day. The hotel reserves the right to cancel the
wedding if a recep�on venue and meal is not booked. Venue Hire fees apply.
2. The hotel reserves the right to agree a minimum number of guests to be charged for the
cocktail recep�on or dinner at this �me. Please refer to the specific menus in our
brochure for further details.
3. A mee�ng must be arranged with the hotel wedding coordinator, to recheck and finalise
all details of your wedding. This mee�ng should take place at least 48 hours prior to the
wedding date.
4. Upon receiving confirmation of your wedding booking a €400 non-refundable deposit is
required to secure your venues. This amount must be paid within 60 days and it will be
deducted from the final bill.
5. Any remaining balance should be se�led by 48 hours prior to the wedding. The hotel
reserves the right to cancel the wedding if payment terms are not met.
6. Provisional numbers are required at the �me of booking. The final confirma�on of the
number of par�cipants should be given at least 7 days prior to the event.
The final charge will be based on the final number provided.
7. If a beverage package is chosen, it must be booked for the whole dura�on of the evening
recep�on and all wedding guests must be on the same beverage package.
8. All-inclusive drinks and food are not served in any wedding banque�ng or cocktail
recep�on venue and are not allowed to be brought in.
9. All legal documents required to marry in Cyprus are the responsibility of the wedding
couple and all original documents must be brought with them to Cyprus. Page 42
contains the informa�on of the required documents. For any queries or uncertainty
regarding the required documents, the wedding couple must contact the wedding
coordinator prior to their arrival in Cyprus.
10. The client must ensure compliance with the hotel’s direc�ons regarding noise and
behavior. The hotel reserves the right to exclude or eject any person from the event or
the hotel if it reasonably considers such person to be objec�onable and to terminate the
Contract and stop the event if necessary, without any liability for any refund or
compensa�on, to prevent or terminate unacceptable noise or behavior.
11. The hotel management is obliged to abide by Cyprus regula�ons according to which the
Management reserves the right to refuse the provision of services to intoxicated guests.
The abuse of alcohol and irresponsible behavior will not be tolerated.
12. The hotel reserves the right to subs�tute any product with that of an equivalent product
in terms of value if the original is not available.
13. The hotel reserves the right to relocate any func�on when necessary, for instance, in
case of bad weather and the ceremony is held in an outdoor venue. In this case no
refunds will be offered.
Page | 4014. Guests are responsible for any loss or damages made to the Venue or hotel property. In
case of any damage, the guests will be charged accordingly by the hotel management.
Sparklers or other fire hazard items are strictly prohibited in any of our venues.
15. The hotel will not be held responsible for clothing, floral, decora�ons, cake stands or, any
other item(s) le� behind at the end of the event, in any of the hotel venues including
items from external suppliers or guests. It is the responsibility of the wedding party to
remove any item(s) the couple have arranged or provided.
16. External suppliers are NOT permi�ed to enter the hotel. The hotel will not be held
responsible for items booked privately with non-approved suppliers. Wedding extras
such as hair and beauty, entertainment, photography, wedding cake, decora�on, flowers
and other extras, should be booked directly with the hotel. Please check with the hotel
for the approved suppliers before booking any services from outside suppliers.
17. Food items or wedding cake, that are not consumed on the wedding day will not be kept
for health & safety reasons. No storage facility can be provided.
18. In the unfortunate event of a cancella�on, the non-refundable payments will not be
returned.
19. This brochure relates specifically to 2020 - 2021. The management reserves the right to
make changes at any �me without prior no�ce
In case of Breach of any of the above terms and condi�ons, the hotel reserves the right
to cancel the whole event, without obliga�on to return the payment.
Page | 41Documentation Required for a Civil Wedding
The following ORIGINAL documents must be brought with you to Cyprus, preferably in your
hand luggage. The documents need to be either wri�en in or translated into Greek or
English:
o VALID PASSPORTS with at least 3 months le� to run a�er the date of travel.
o BIRTH CERTIFICATES long or short, original cer�fied documents.
o STATUTORY DECLARATION (Also known as Sworn Affidavit or Cer�ficate of No
Impediment) signed by a solicitor or notary public confirming your marital status, i.e.
divorced, widowed or single, and that you are free to marry. This document must be
dated, signed and stamped by the issuing solicitor or notary public. A business card
should also accompany this document. Such documents are only valid for 3 months
maximum prior to the date of the wedding ideally the document is best obtained
between 8 and 12 weeks prior to the wedding date. The couple must ensure their
validity at the �me of applica�on and on the actual wedding date.
o COPIES OF TWO WITNESSES’ PASSPORTS (copy of photo page). Witnesses can be provided
by the hotel if required.
o DECREE ABSOLUTE (in case of divorce).
o DEATH CERTIFICATE (in case of widow or widower).
o ADOPTION CERTIFICATE (in case of adop�on).
o DEED POLL CERTIFICATE (in case of a change of name) – must be stamped by a solicitor.
o WRITTEN CONSENT to be submi�ed to the Marriage Officer on application, if either party
of the intended marriage is less than 18 years of age. This must be signed by the father of
such party or by the mother if the father is deceased or incapable of consen�ng, and
failing that, by the legal guardian of such party.
These requirements apply to Bri�sh passport holders only. All other na�onali�es must
refer to their respec�ve government agencies for accurate informa�on regarding the
necessary paperwork.
The Civil Ceremony fee is fixed by the Ministry of Interior and payment is required in
upon the declara�on appointment with the couple. The Marriage License (€281.92) and
Registrar Fees (€200) are subject to change at any �me in accordance with the law.
The Municipality conducts civil ceremonies Monday- Friday between 11:00 and 16:00. For
later ceremony �mes an addi�onal fee will be applied. Saturdays are available upon special
request and with an addi�onal fee. The above excludes any public holidays in Cyprus.
