WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Barastoc 2020 will incorporate a breed’s showcase, along with Newcomer classes, Peter Gahan
Memorial Trophy, Owner Rider classes, Led Classes, OTT classes and the coveted Equestrian
Victoria Show Horse & Rider State Titles (the official qualifying event for the EA Australasian Show
Horse & Rider Championships to be held in December 2020).

Provisional Timetable as follows (may be subject to change):

    ➢ Friday 7 February: Children’s Classes, Leading Rein Ponies, Peter Gahan Trophy.

    ➢ Saturday 8 February: Arabians, Buckskins, Carriage Driving, Newcomer Show Hunter & Newcomer
      Saddle classes, Palomino, Pinto, Miniatures, Riding Ponies, Shetland Ponies (including Newcomer
      Shetland), Show Hunter Saddle classes, Stock Horses and Welsh Ponies. Supreme Led Open Breeds.
      Owner Rider Classes and Open Led Classes, Racing Victoria Off the Track Led class.

    ➢ Sunday 9 February: HRCAV Showing, Standardbreds, Rider Classes, Show Saddle Pony, Galloway, and
      Hacks, and Racing Victoria Off the Track Freshman’s and Open Ridden classes, Sporting Horses and
      Pony Club.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Owner Rider Classes: Horses must be exhibited by the bonafide owner in all 2020 Barastoc HOTY classes with
the EXCEPTION of Children’s and Leading Rein classes and rider classes.
Racing Victoria OTT Thoroughbreds: The winner of Class 70 (Led ASB or Internationally Registered
Thoroughbred) is eligible for the Supreme Breed Exhibit to be judged approximately 12noon Sat.)
Equestrian Victoria Events – Special Conditions of Entry: In entering Barastoc HOTY all competitors
acknowledge and accept EV’s Special Conditions of Entry (available on the website)

A receipt will be sent from Nominate as confirmation of entry. All entries via Nominate are ‘Provisional’ and a
list of entries and classes will be circulated by the OC prior to final ‘Acceptances’ being released.

Entry to the grounds/show and parking are FREE. NO exhibitor passes required.

All classes will be run in designated Competition arenas, located on the General Purpose area of WPNEC (left
hand side of “Peter Gahan” main driveway). Exception will be Sporting Horse Classes which will be held in
designated areas adjacent the Polo fields.

EQUESTRIAN VICTORIA
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY - Special Conditions of Entry

Applicable Equestrian Australia (EA) documents and requirements
1. This Equestrian Victoria (EV) event is governed by the Equestrian Australia (EA) General Regulations, applicable EA Sports Rules and
all relevant EA Codes, policies, bylaws, rules and regulations. The EA Sports rules (i.e. the National Rules for each EA sport or discipline)
and regulations may be accessed on the EA website “Discipline Rules & Regulations” page via the following link
http://www.equestrian.org.au/rules. The EA Codes, Policies etc. may be accessed on the EA website “Policies & Bylaws” page via the
following link http://www.equestrian.org.au/policies.
2. To be eligible to participate in this event you must be a current EV member or current member of an EA state branch. You must also
satisfy any further membership or registration requirement (including those for any horse entered) referred to in the General Conditions
of Entry for the event (General Conditions of Entry) and individual disciplines.
3. The EA National Sports Rules applicable to the event are referred to in the Conditions of Entry.
4. All EA and EV events are subject to the EA Code of Conduct (Code of Conduct). The Code of Conduct can be accessed on theEA website

It is important that all members understand that the Code of Conduct also covers parents, guardians and spectators in respect of any
activity held or sanctioned by EV or an EA state branch. A key aim of the Code of Conduct is to respect the rights of everyone involved, to
abide by all EA rules and requirements, to be fair, considerate, honest and professional in all aspects of the sport.
5. EA and EV are committed to the protection and welfare of its members. The EA Member Protection Policy (MPP) can be accessed on
its website via the following link,

The EA Social Media Policy, which can be accessed via the following link,
http://www.equestrian.org.au/sites/default/files/Social%20Media%20Policy.pdf, should be read in conjunction with the MPP. These are
important documents designed to ensure the safe and fair conduct of the event for everyone involved. They should be read, understood
and complied with.
6. EA and EV events are also subject to various codes and regulations designed to protect the horse, the welfare of which is paramount
(Horse Welfare Provisions). Entrants and Competitors must familiarise themselves with the Horse Welfare Provisions and ensure that
they are complied with. These Provisions may be accessed on the EA website via the following link
http://www.equestrian.org.au/policies.
7. If the event is conducted at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre (WPNEC), the WPNEC Risk Management Conditions shall apply
to the event. The Risk Management Conditions can be accessed via the following link http://wpnec.com.au/risk- management/.
Entrants and Competitors bound by EA documents
8. Entrants and Competitors must familiarise themselves with the provisions of the EA documents referred to above (EA
documents) and ensure that they comply with them.
9. By submitting an entry for the event you agree to comply with and be bound by the provisions of the EA documents, these
Special Conditions and the General Conditions of Entry.
10. If you are the parent or guardian of a participant or competitor under the age of 18 years, by submitting an entry for the event you
consent to their participation in the event and undertake to the best of your ability to ensure that they understand and comply with the
provisions of the EA documents, these Special Conditions and the General Conditions of Entry.
11. If there is any conflict in the interpretation between the provisions of the General Regulations and any of the EA documents, these
Special Conditions or the General Conditions of Entry, the General Regulations will take precedence. If there is any conflict in the
interpretation between the provisions of these Special Conditions and the General Conditions of Entry, the Special Conditions will take
precedence.
Organising Committee
12. The Organising Committee for the event is referred to in the General Conditions of Entry. The Organising Committee may at its absolute
discretion, decline to receive any entry or return any fee without being liable for any compensation: General Regulation, Article 116.11. The
Organising Committee’s decision in relation to any entry for the event shall be final and binding.
Cancellation and Refund
13. EV or the Organising Committee may cancel the event due to catastrophic conditions, disease or force majeure, or for any other
reason at its absolute discretion.
14. If the event is cancelled after it has commenced there will be no refunds. If the event is cancelled prior to commencement the
entrant may be entitled to a proportional refund of the entry fees paid. Any such refund will be determined at the absolute discretion of
EV, having regard to the direct or fixed costs for the event.
15. Entrants who have provided with their entry an email address and/or mobile phone number will be notified of event
cancellation by email and/or text message.
16. The refund policy for withdrawal, scratching or change of an entry is set out in the General Conditions of Entry.

Release and Indemnity
17. You acknowledge that horse riding, working with or being around horses can be dangerous. Horses can act in sudden and
unpredictable ways, especially if frightened or hurt. As a consequence, there is a real risk of damage to property, serious injury or even
death. In consideration of acceptance of your entry and participation in the event you agree to release and forever discharge EA, EV, their
servants and agents and the Organising Committee and each member thereof from all claims, proceedings or demands for any loss or
damage howsoever arising from any accident or incident occurring at the event.
18. In consideration of acceptance of your entry and participation in the event, you agree to indemnify and keep indemnified EA, EV, their
servants and agents and the Organising Committee and each member thereof against all claims, proceedings or demands brought by or on
behalf of any participant or competitor named in your entry form for any loss or damage howsoever arising from any accident or incident
occurring at the event.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
The event is to be run under EA rules insofar as they are applicable to this event. It is the entrants’ and competitors’ responsibility to
ensure that they are eligible for the classes in which they enter and compete. We strongly recommend that all competitors obtain a
copy of the relevant EA Rules through the EV website www.equestrianvic.com.au

For the purpose of the rule interpretation the show will commence at 2pm Thursday 6th February 2020. It is recommended that
competitors print a copy of their Entry and bring this with them to the event, along with a copy of a valid height certificate, horses
registration/s and membership card/s.

19.       Entries Open: Friday 1st November 2019
20.       Entries Close: Monday 16th December 2019 at 5 pm
21.       Late Entries: Late entries may be considered where class numbers allow. Late entries will be taken on Nominate
          only between 1st January & 7th January and will incur a $50 Late Fee per class. Late entry qualifications must still
          be achieved after December 14th 2018 before December 16th 2019.
22.       An administration fee – A fee of $20 may be charged on returned & amended entries
23.       Operations Fee: $25.00 will be charged to each exhibitor and does not cover the $20.00 fee to be imposed for
          incorrect entries.
24.       REFUNDS – Complete or partial refund will only be considered upon receipt of a vet or medical certificate.
25.       Scratching before close of entry December 16th receive a full refund. Scratching between December 17 th and
          January 7th 5:00pm will receive 50% refund on entries fee only, after this date NO refunds will be offered.
26.       Facility Fee Exhibitors will be required to pay a compulsory Facility fee of $16.00 per horse/pony entered, per
          day. This fee will be passed onto the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.
27.       Registration of Horses: All horses/ponies competing in EA Classes must be EA registered at time of entry.
          Refer to EACH sections ‘Conditions of entry’ regarding horse registration.
28.       Insurance & Membership. The Equestrian Australia membership number must be shown at time of entry.
29.       Level of Membership: Entrants (owners, led class competitors) for the 2020 Barastoc Horse of the Year –
          Equestrian Victoria Show Horse & Rider State Title classes (Section One) must be an EV Financial member at time
          of entry as follow:
               • All Riders in State Title classes (Section one) must be Competitor Members of EV at time of entry.
               • All Owners of exhibits in State Title Classes must be Competitor, Participant, Show Horse or Supporter
                    Members of EV at time of entry.
               • All Handlers in the Leading Rein Classes must be Competitor, Participant, or Show Horse members of
                    EV at time of entry.
               • All Riders in other events (Section Two – Owner Rider, Newcomers, Off the Track, and Peter Gahan
                    Memorial Trophy) must be Competitor or Participant or Show Horse members of EV at time of entry.
               • All Owners of Exhibits in Section Two as above must be Competitor, Participant, show horse or
                    Supporter Members of EV at time of entry.

Please refer to Equestrian Victoria website under Rules, Regs and forms – National Membership Structure for
clarification. This regulation is NOT applicable to Breed, Sport Horses or HRCAV or Pony Club classes.

All Owners, riders or handlers must comply with the membership requirements.
Interstate riders are not permitted to ride at the Equestrian Victoria Show Horse & Rider State Titles or in EA Australasian
Show Horse & Rider Championship qualifying events.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Cont.
30.   Operation Fee: Each Exhibitor must pay the compulsory, non-refundable Event operation fee of $25 at the time
      of entry. This fee encompasses compulsory medical services, infrastructures, security and event office
      administration during the event. This fee does not cover the additional $20.00 fee to be imposed for incorrect or
      incomplete entries.
31.   Stabling: All enquiries can be made by visiting www.wpnec.com.au or by phoning Werribee Park on
      (03) 9741 7672. Additional forms can be downloaded from WPNEC website or www.vic.equestrian.org.au
      Stables must not be on sold.
32.   Medication Control of Horses: will take place in accordance with the Equestrian Australia Equine Anti-Doping
      and Controlled Medication Regulation (1st edition, effective 2016 and updates). Compulsory medication control
      fee of $15 per horse and/or rider class is applicable.
33.   Measuring: Horses and Ponies not holding a current EV/EA Measurement Certificate must present for measuring
      prior to competition at times designated by the committee – these dates will be communicated prior to the
      competition. Current EV/EA height certificates must be produced upon check in for verification & breast plate
      numbers will be stamped. In the event of a height variation, an exhibit will be transferred to the correct height
      class in the section the exhibit was originally entered.
34.    Exhibit Numbers: Exhibit numbers will be supplied by the Organising Committee with the exception of Breed,
      HRCAV, Pony Club. Exhibitors will be required to collect their Exhibit Numbers from the Event Office on arrival.
      For classes in this schedule no exhibitor numbers will be distributed without a current EA height certificate being
      sighted. Exhibitors will be issued with their paid copy of the Program, when collecting Exhibit numbers.
35.   Handler’s Attire: Horses may be held in the Ring centre during judging; however handlers must be correctly
      dressed. Handlers wearing shorts and thongs, or tracksuits will not be permitted into the ring.
36.   Whips: The maximum length for whips is 75cm including flaps, excluding exercise.
37.   Costume: When riding ponies 14 hands & under, riders must wear jodhpurs and short boots. Riders in Rider
      Classes under 18 must wear short boots.
38.   Bits – must comply with current EA National show horse rules.
39.   Newcomers: Definition: A horse that has not competed under saddle (with the exception of Racing) in any
      State/Territory prior to 1/1/2019. Newcomers may only compete as a newcomer at one Barastoc HOTY show. A
      Pony that has only competed in Leading Rein or Miniature Turnouts and has not competed off the lead is eligible
      to be considered a Newcomer.
      A horse that has competed in breed classes or any other discipline under saddle is not eligible to be considered a
      Newcomer.
      (a) The horse must be registered with the EA at the time of close of entries.
      (b) The horse must have a current EA Height Certificate at time of competition.
      (c) The horse must be shown in a snaffle bridle in accordance with current EA National Show Horse Rules
      (d) The horse may compete in the relevant State HOTY event as its first competition.
      (e) The horse may compete in the Open section at the HOTY subject to State/Territory qualifying rules where
           applicable.
      (f) All interstate horses must be registered and/or transferred three (3) months and one day immediately
           preceding the date of the State Horse of The Year event, applicable for classes 1,2 and 3-16 and 17-36
           • Stallions are not eligible to compete

40.   EA Australasian Show Horse & Rider Championships 2020. Winners, runners up and 3rd placegetters in Classes
      1 and 2 also Classes 17-23 and classes 30-36 and Classes 26-29 and Junior Rider Championship (section 1) will be
      expected to represent Victoria at the 2020 EA Australasian Show Horse & Rider Championships. and classes 3-16
      Winners and runners up will be expected to represent Victoria at the 2020 EA Australasian Show Horse and Rider
      Championships. If a position becomes available third place will be invited to attend. Correct at time of printing.
41.   Class Restrictions: Horses are to be shown as either Show Hack or Show Hunter

42.   Workouts: Set workouts will be advised for all State Title Classes, and newcomer classes. These shall be
      published on the website following close of entries. Owner Rider workouts will be given by the Judge on the day.

43.      Prizes: Prizes not collected on the day will be forfeited.
44.      Qualifications: Horses and riders entered in classes 3 – 36 inclusive require qualifications, qualifying period from
         8th December 2018 until 16th December 2019. (Owner Rider and Led Classes do not require a qualification).
         Qualifications for late entries must be obtained within this period. There are no qualifications for Leading Rein.
         •     1 x Championship OR 2 x Reserve Champion Awards, OR 3 x Open wins in relevant class at any affiliated EV
               accredited show/and OR Agricultural Show; in Open hack or Open show hunter sections.
         •     Qualifications gained in the period 8th December 2018 – until 16th December 2019.
         •     Champions and Runners Up and third (except for child’s classes) from the 2019 Barastoc/EV State Titles
               show automatically qualify for the section in which they were successful for the 2020 Barastoc/EV State
               Title Show.
         •     Performances will be randomly cross referenced and verified with EV and VAS show results/records.
               Disciplinary by-laws amended 2008 19 (c) Falsifying a performance record for entry into any competition or
               event. First offence – a fine of $200 and may result in elimination.
         •     QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE LISTED IN THE PERFORMANCE SECTION OF THE ENTRY FORM. ENTRIES WILL
               BE DEEMED INVALID IF NOT LISTED IN THE AREA PROVIDED AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
45.      CANCELLATION POLICY: If cancellation is required due to existing or predicted severe and dangerous conditions
         such as Code Red Fire Warnings / Flood or Travel Warnings / Disease Outbreaks a message will be available on
         03 9013 0707 and the EV website.
46.      Age of Horses: The minimum age of a horse competing in Saddle Sections is three (3) years of age.
47.      Judges: Judges for Equestrian Victoria Show Horse & Rider State Title classes are randomly selected by the
         National Office of Equestrian Australia, from the current EA Show Horse Judges List.
48.      Eligibility for Classes: The onus is on the owner / exhibitor to ensure the horse and/or rider are eligible to
         compete under any of the Judges concerned. NO JUDGE WILL STAND ASIDE FOR THE JUDGING OF ANY CLASS.
49.      Protests: For protests please refer to Rule 1.5 Protests Pertaining to the Application of Competition Rules &
         Conditions of Entry in the EA National Show Horse Rules effective 1 July 2019. EV has the sole and unfettered
         power to determine any protests not otherwise provided for under rule 1.5.

Note:    This Competition Schedule is subject to change as Sponsorship Agreements are finalised and prizes
         updated.

            RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR SECTION ONE CLASSES
    These rules are to be adhered to by the State Organising Committees in the conduct of State Horse of
    the Year and Rider Championships and only refer to those classes that qualify horses/riders for the
    Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships. All State Committees that do not adhere to these
    rules may render all riders and horses ineligible for competing at that year’s Australasian Horse and
    Rider Championships at the discretion of the NSHC. In the event that a competitor has more than one
    horse in a class, the rider will be permitted to ride multiple horses, however if at the request of the
    judges or organising committee that a "go around" is required for all classes then another rider will
    need to be elected. The nominated rider must adhere to the age restrictions of the class.

    5.1 The State HOTY event is to be conducted under these Rules and the provisions set out below.

    5.2 All owner and lessees listed on current registration papers must hold a current EA membership at
    the time of entry. Refer to the EA General Regulations Article 100

    5.3 Horses can only be entered at State HOTY by a current member of EA in the State in which the
    event is being held 5.4 Show Horse, Show Hunter and Leading Rein Classes - All horses must have a
    current EA Height Certificate. Refer to the EA Measuring Rules.

    5.4.1 A horse that has a protest lodged against it is ineligible to compete at an EA State Horse of the
    Year Show until re-measuring has occurred. 5.4.2 A horse that has a protest lodged against it and is re-
    measured, must compete in accordance with the National Show Horse Rules 1.14 5.4.3 An EA qualified
    measurer will be in attendance at all State Horse of the Year Shows for re-measuring purposes 5.4.4
    For all EA State Show Horse Championships all protests must be lodged at least four hours before the
    advertised time of the start of the Event (not the class).

    5.5 Rider of the Year classes – Riders may only compete in the class for which they are eligible Age is as
    of 1st January in the year of the National Championships Show Horse, Show Hunter, Childs/Junior
    Rider of the Year classes, with exception of Leading Rein (see definition).

    5.6 All competitors must be full current EA Competitive members and leading rein handlers must be
    current Participant or Competitive members of EA in the State in which the event is being held: 5.6.1
    For Childs classes the rider must be aged between 5 years and under 18 years as of 1st January in the
    year of the National Championships 5.6.2 For Lead Rein Riders turning 5 years are eligible to compete
    the day they turn 5 years old..

    5.7 Show Horse, Show Hunter, Childs/ Junior, Leading Rein Classes and Rider Classes Horses/Ponies
    must be: 5.7.1 currently financial EA registered at the time of entry (as per rule 4.2) 5.7.2 3 years of
    age or over at 1 August. 5.7.3 Resident in the State (including where appropriate within a 100 km
    radius of a border) for a total period of 3 months immediately preceding the date of that State’s Horse
    of the Year event. Northern Territory to be exempt from 3 month residency rule.

    5.7.4 For Newcomer Classes, if the horse has not competed under saddle (with the Equestrian
    Australia National Show Horse Rules exception of horse racing) in any state and is registered and
    eligible/qualified in the state in which it is to compete by closing date of entries it shall be eligible to
    compete in that respective state’s HOTY. Newcomers may only compete as a newcomer at one Barastoc
    HOTY show.

    5.8 State HOTY cont. 5.8.1 Show Horse, Show Hunter, Childs/ Junior and Leading Rein - If a horse has
    competed in a qualifying class at an EA HOTY in the current year in another State it is not eligible to
    compete in another EA HOTY in the same calendar year. 5.8.2 Rider Classes - If a rider has competed in
    an EA HOTY in the current year in a qualifying class in another State they are not eligible to compete in
    another EA HOTY in the same calendar year. 5.8.3 Show Hunters – if a horse/pony is entered as a Show
    Hunter at a State HOTY, it will be precluded from entering the State Horse of the Year as a Show Horse
    and vice versa. 5.8.4 Should a horse that has competed at the Australasian Show Horse and Rider
    Championships wish to compete at a State Horse of the Year in the following calendar year, where the
    State’s Horse of the Year is held within 3 months of the Australasian Show Horse and Rider
    Championships an amnesty may occur in regards to this rule. This rule will become effective at the
    completion of the 2017 Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships. 5.8.5 All Changes of
    ownership and relevant paperwork must be completed by the EA Branch within 7 business days
    immediately following the completion of the Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships.

    5.9 International HOY Show Horse, Show Hunter, Child’s/Junior and Leading Rein – if a horse has
    competed in an international qualifying class at a HOY event in the current year it is not eligible to
    compete in State EA HOTY in the same calendar year

    5.10 To judge State Horse of The Year; Judges must have a minimum of two years’ experience on a
    State or National list. 5.10.1 A maximum of two judges from any one state are permitted. 5.10.2
    Judges will be randomly selected by State EA Office by the EO unless a conflict exists. Should a conflict
    exist, the EA National Office will randomly select Judges. 5.10.3 Selected Judges will need to be sent a
    Judging Form from EA to complete and will be asked, in particular, to provide details of: • Any actual
    or perceived conflicts of interest • Any State Horse of the Year or Royal Show judging positions the
    selected judge has either accepted or judged at during the calendar year • Any horse (including rider
    classes) that the selected judge has qualified to compete at the Australasian Show Horse & Rider
    Championships in the same calendar year. Note – if the selected judge has qualified a horse in a
    particular class they will be deemed ineligible to judge that class at any State Horse of Year. • Any
    horse, where the selected judge is the competitor (see definition of competitor) in which they
    anticipate to compete at their State Horse of the Year Championships 5.10.4 Submitting the Judges
    Form does not mean the selected judge is accepted to judge the State Horse of the Year 5.10.5 The
    organizing committee of the State Horse of the Year will make a determination as to whether it is
    viable for the selected judge to officiate based upon any declaration(s) the selected judge has made in
    their Judges Form 5.10.6 The organizing committee, where possible, will make every attempt to rotate
    judges out of specific classes where a conflict is declared by the selected judge. If this is not viable, the
    organizing committee may request that the State EA Office select an alternative judge 5.10.7 Judges
    may only judge one State Horse of the Year per calendar year 5.10.8 State Show Horse and Rider

    event.

    5.15 In qualifying Show Horse, Show Hunter, Childs/ Junior and Rider classes four judges must be used
    as per the National Show Horse Judging System. If there is less than a total of 100 entries in all
    qualifying classes, three judges may be permitted (excluding Northern Territory due to geographic
    isolation, a minimum of two judges must be appointed). Equestrian Australia National Show Horse
    Rules

    5.16 All qualifying events for the Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships (i.e.: State HOTYs)
    must be run by the States Show Horse Committee (who may form or co-opt an organising
    subcommittee)

    5.17 Results of the winner, runners-up and third place getter, and the names of all Finalists (top 10) to
    be sent to the relevant EA State Branch Office.

    5.18 Judges who have accepted to Judge at a State Horse of the Year and Rider Championships will not
    accept a Judging appointment in similar classes for a Royal Show in the same State in that calendar
    year.

    5.19 The Chief Steward and Judge’s host must be independent and this must be reflected in the State’s
    program.

    5.20 A scorer may not officiate in any class where they have a Conflict of Interest or perceived Conflict
    of Interest and will not have any deliberate contact with the Judges prior to the class/classes or in
    which the Conflict of Interest occurs. 5.20 No State badges may be worn at State Horse of the Year
    events

Workout as set by the judge, Glenn Fryer.

Enter at the walk through the centre of the short side. Rising trop up the centre and turn right in sitting trot
and make a three loop serpentine in sitting trot. Change rein on the diagonal showing some lengthened
strides sitting. In the centre of the short side canter left and make a 20m circle. Continue on the long side
and show some lengthened strides. Turn across the diagonal and change rein, changing lead through some
walk strides. At the centre of the short side make a 20m circle in canter right then continue down the long
side. Approaching the entry point come to the halt. Rein back 3 to 4 steps and coniine in sitting trot to the
judge. Exit immediately through the nearest exit point.

                            OPEN LED SHOW HUNTER CLASSES
                                    Entry Fee: $30 per class
Conditions of Entry:
Rules and regulations refer to 2019 EA show Horse Rules pages 5-10 of this document.

Section Additional Rules
    - Open to mares, fillies and geldings. Stallions not eligible
    - Horses must be 2 years and over at the time of competition.
    - Exhibitors, Owners and handlers must be current financial competitor or participant members of EV.
    - Horses must be registered with EA.
    - Horses may only compete and enter as either a “Hunter” or “Hack” during Barastoc 2020 not both.
    - No performances/qualifications required for this section.
    - No domicile rule for led horses.

Prizes: Champion winners – The winning owner/s will receive commemorative champion sash.
Runner up – The winning owner/s will receive a commemorative reserve champion sash.
Class placings to 6th place.

               RACING VICTORIA ‘OFF THE TRACK’ THOROUGHBREDS
                                       Entry Fee: $30 per class
Conditions of Entry:
           • Effective from 1 August 2018, any Thoroughbred bred to race that has been Stud Book
                registered, either in Australia with the Australian Stud Book or internationally, will be eligible
                to compete in OTT classes and events in Victoria.
           • Racing name and breeding to be included on entry form.
           • Riders must be either Competitor or Participant EA members at time of entry and competition.
           • Horses must be EA registered
           • Owners must be Competitor, Participant or Supporter EA members at time of entry and
                competition.
           • Class 71 open to exhibits registered and named on the Australian Stud Book (ASB) that have
                started in a race or official barrier trial on any registered racetrack in Australia or abroad on or
                after 1st January 2018.

Prizes for Racing Victoria classes 70, 71 and 72:
    • Winner: $500 cash, sash and rug sponsored by Racing Victoria
    • Second: $200 cash & sash sponsored by Racing Victoria
    • Third: $150 cash & sash sponsored by Racing Victoria
    • 4th – 6th: $ 50 cash & sash sponsored by Racing Victoria

        Class 71, 72 & 74 Sunday - Tammy Notman VIC

70.    Racing Victoria Off the Track Specialist Class / LED ASB or Internationally registered Thoroughbred.
71.    Racing Victoria Off the Track Specialist Class / Freshman’s RIDDEN ASB registered or internationally
       registered Thoroughbred *Open to exhibits registered and named in a Race or Official barrier trial at
       any Registered Race Track in Australia or abroad on or after the 1st January 2017
72.    Racing Victoria Off the Track Specialist Class / RIDDEN ASB or internationally registered
       Thoroughbred.

74.       Off The Track Ridden Show Hunter / LED ASB or Internationally registered Thoroughbred.

      •   Winners of classes 70 and 73 eligible for a Supreme Breed Exhibit to be judged approx. 12.00 noon
          Saturday.

      •   The winners, runner up and third placegetters of classes 72 and 74 will be invited to represent
          Victoria at the National Final of the OTT Ridden Show Horse Championships to be held at Werribee
          Park, December 2020
