The philatelic Service had a busy summer. In July, we Page 5
participated in NRK's Summer programme and celebrated

the world´s oldest paddle steamer Skibladner's 160th Personalised stamps
anniversary. Both personalised stamps and cancellations Page 8
were received with enthusiasm.
Our autumn stamp issues start on 1 October as we
commemorate the bicentenary of Norges Bank. Sverre Morken
is the artist and engraver behind the stamps. One stamp shows
an 1818 Speciedaler coin and several versions of Norwegian
banknotes. The other stamp shows the Norges Bank head
office in Oslo.
On the same day we will also issue two new stamps in our
Lighthouse series. Sandvigodden Lighthouse in Aust-Agder
and Sklinna Lighthouse in Nord-Trøndelag will both be featured.
This issue marks the end of our popular Lighthouse series for Norway Post
now. Inger Sandved Anfinsen undertook the design for the Philatelic Service
final issues.

Skibladner
160th anniversary
Skibladner is the world's oldest paddle
steamer still in operation.
Between 12 and 16 July, Norway Post was involved in
NRK´s TV-show around the lake Mjøsa. The round trip
was part of the celebrations of Skibladner's 160th
anniversary. Personalised stamps, cancellations and
special envelopes were produced for each day:

The Christian Radich featured
on a personal stamp for Kiel
Week and the Windjammer
Parade in June
The Christian Radich was a proud representative
of Norway in this year's Kiel Regatta, which took
place from 18 - 26 June. The high point of the
celebration was the traditional Windjammer
Parade, in which all the beautiful sailing ships l
eave Kiel and set out on their journey home.
Norway Post was present for the entire event,
ably represented by our colleagues at Deutsche
Post.

Reprint of NK 1773
The NOK 4 denomination in the Posthorn series has been reprinted. The
stamp was printed on 16.06.2016 and was issued on 01.09.2016. The stamp
was printed in sheets of 100 self-adhesive stamps with gutter pair strips in
the middle. Subscribers to reprints will receive the stamp in October.
