Welcome
Kia ora koutou.
Do you remember your 10th birthday party?
There was probably cake, family, friends, presents and a
whole lot of fun. We’re capturing that spirit to celebrate
Visa Wellington On a Plate (Visa WOAP) reaching double
digits, with this year’s festival theme: “Party”.
What started as an idea for a winter food festival in 2009
has now become the biggest fortnight in every foodie’s
calendar. From just 43 menus and 30 events in our first
year, we now bring you hundreds of burgers, cocktails,
festival dishes and a huge array of events.
After a decade of hard work, let’s put our hands together for
the region’s chefs, brewers, bakers, butchers, winemakers,
artisan producers plus our sponsors, partners and all the
people who help make the festival, and Wellington’s food
scene so damn delicious.
Join us as we eat, drink, PARTY! and be Welly this August.
